Hi Matt, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
The Carlsbad Police Officers Foundation was founded in 2023 by a dedicated group of four Carlsbad police officers with the mission to give back to the community, especially its youth. The foundation focuses on supporting local youth programs and initiatives, aiming to build positive relationships between law enforcement and young residents. One of the primary fundraising events is the annual golf tournament, which helps generate the funds needed to support a variety of youth-focused activities. These include programs like Shop with a Cop, where children are paired with officers to shop for holiday gifts, as well as Toys for Tots, which brings holiday cheer to local families. The foundation also supports numerous youth sports teams, ensuring that kids have opportunities to engage in healthy, team-building activities. Through these efforts, the Carlsbad Police Officers Foundation strengthens community bonds and fosters a sense of safety, inclusion, and camaraderie among local youth.

The Carlsbad Police Officers Foundation was founded by four sworn police officers from the city of Carlsbad. As law enforcement professionals who serve and protect the community, we share a deep commitment to making a positive impact beyond our daily duties. Over the last few years, our board members have collaborated to develop a vision focused on giving back, particularly to the youth of our community.

In 2023, we took an important step by establishing the Carlsbad Police Officers Foundation as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. This legal status has allowed us to expand our efforts and focus on supporting local youth through various programs, mentorship opportunities, and community engagement initiatives. Our foundation has quickly gained momentum, and we’ve seen remarkable success in connecting with local youth programs and organizations to provide resources and opportunities that help young people grow, thrive, and stay on positive paths.

The Foundation is proud of the work we’ve accomplished so far and is excited to continue our mission of fostering a stronger, safer, and more supportive community for the future generations of Carlsbad. Our vision is just beginning, and we look forward to the many ways we can continue giving back to the community.
