Meet Andres Salomon | Music Producer & Guitarist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Andres Salomon and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Andres, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
My favorite quote is, “If you don’t quit, you win.”
As a producer and guitarist, I’ve always embraced this mindset. In music, talent is often less important than hard work, persistence, and good habits. It’s about picking up the guitar, even on days when you don’t feel like it. This quote has been my silent motto for years, but only recently have I fully grasped its power and importance. It reminds me that showing up consistently is often the key to success, even when things get tough.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My journey began at age 15 when I picked up the guitar and became a huge John Mayer fan.
That passion set me on a path to deeply understand music on an internal level. Over the years, I’ve evolved through different stages—first as a guitarist, then as a songwriter, and now as a full-time music producer. Looking back, I can see how the trials and tribulations were actually lessons that prepared me for this chapter.
What sets me apart is my unique ability to produce music that captures an artist’s authentic voice while elevating their artistry to levels beyond what they imagined. This next season of my life is all about helping as many artists as possible on their journey, and I’m excited to be part of their stories.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting San Diego for a week, here’s how I would plan the perfect trip:
Day 1: Coffee and Culture
We’d kick off the week at my favorite coffee spot, Provecho, for some delicious brews. After that, we’d explore Balboa Park, soaking in the beautiful architecture and vibrant atmosphere.
Day 2: Family Fun at the Zoo
As a father of a three-year-old, a visit to the San Diego Zoo is a must! It’s a place we frequent and offers a fantastic day filled with amazing animals and experiences.
Day 3: Live Music and Nightlife
On the weekend, we’d check out Soda Bar, a great venue where I’ve played and seen many talented friends perform. It’s a perfect spot for live music and a fun night out.
Day 4: Craft Beer and Tacos
For food and drink, you can’t beat Harland Brewery for a refreshing craft beer. Then we’d head to Tacos El Gordo for some incredible tacos, especially the adobada and asada—they’re simply unbeatable!
Day 5: Relaxation on the Beach
Of course, we’d make time for a visit to Coronado Beach. A nice walk at sunset along the shore is the perfect way to enjoy the stunning California coast and unwind after a busy week.
Day 6: Adventure and Exploration
We might also take a trip to La Jolla Cove for some kayaking or snorkeling, exploring the beautiful marine life in the area.
Day 7: Exploring Old Town
To wrap up the week, we’d visit Old Town to immerse ourselves in the early history of San Diego. The vibrant shops, authentic Mexican food, and rich heritage make it a perfect way to experience the city’s roots.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to give my first shoutout to my amazing wife, Dayna, and my wonderful son, Santi.
They are the driving force behind my pursuit of character, competency, and quality in music production. I also want to shout out my parents and my sister, Elizabeth, who have always supported me, shown me love, and put up with the loud volumes of my early music days. Their patience and encouragement have been invaluable to my journey.
