Meet Nicole Loor | Life Designer | Content Creator and Expert in Customer and Employee Experience

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicole Loor and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nicole, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
WOW! Creativity opens so many doors. I discovered internal things I never thought I had. I discovered there is something magical within me. You realize you can change lives just by being creative. There is always someone in the world going through the same thing as us. We are never alone. That’s why I love to share what often happens to me in a creative way, so others don’t feel alone and thus be able to contribute a small grain of sand to the world.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am proud to have discovered a better version of myself, a version I thought I didn’t have, a version I didn’t even think I deserved to have. There are two things that helped me get to where I am now. The first is a good attitude; stopping complaining about everything was what really opened many doors for me, and having a kind attitude towards others. The second is gratitude. I believe in God and I respect what you believe in, but I thank Him for every small thing, like simply opening the fridge and having food, or being able to go to the bathroom and take a shower, appreciating the things we take for granted. If you apply having a good attitude and gratitude, I assure you your life will change.
My journey has not been easy. Sometimes people think everything is about “motivation.” In fact, people ask me how I manage to stay motivated all the time, but I almost never am. I owe everything to consistency, to reminding myself every day why I am doing things, and that is the key. Motivation is fleeting; it comes for two days and then it goes away and doesn’t come back quickly. But consistency has changed my life.
My biggest challenge has always been “comparison with others.” It’s something I’m still working on, but what I can say is that many times we compare ourselves with the wrong people and we get frustrated because of it. We see perfect lives, perfect bodies, everything perfect, but we really don’t know how these people live in reality. That’s why I realized that I am different and that I have to live my life one day at a time, building my own path.
I love using my talent to help someone make a change in their life. That’s why what I love most about creating content is being able to reach people I’ve never seen in person, but who can change their lives or their mood. I apply this in my professional world as well. I love working with great enthusiasm and dedication because that’s how I’ve learned to be a leader, doing things well from any position I’ve had so that others can follow me.
My biggest dream is to help others see that they have a better version of themselves, both personally and professionally.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For breakfast, I would definitely go to Yipao in Pacific Beach. It’s a Colombian specialty coffee that has the best coffee in San Diego, and they do coffee tastings and even show the process of how they roast the coffee.
From there, my favorite place is the San Diego Harbor Cruise. It is definitely a place that gives me a lot of peace and tranquility, and it’s a great way to get to know San Diego well.
Next, I would go to Mission Beach. I think it’s a beautiful place to have fun, and you can rent kayaks for the ocean.
To learn a bit of history, I like to go to Cabrillo National Monument Visitor Center.
For dining, I really like Miguel’s Cocina Portside.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many people involved in my story, but I owe it all to a difficult moment in my life, “a failed relationship,” which I now remember fondly. I believe that everything that happens to us in life definitely makes us stronger
I dedicate this to my mom and siblings who were always there for me, and to my first psychologist who definitely helped me grow so much. Also, to a book called “The 5 AM Club,” which changed my life.
