We had the good fortune of connecting with Mark Snyder and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mark, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I have been performing on stage at Renaissance Faires since 2013. My crazy Dutch show has performed in Escondido, Big Bear, Idlewild, Corona, Vista, Oceanside, Fresno, and San Diego. It’s a crowd participation, family friendly show teaching the muchness of the Dutchness with humor.
I like to make people laugh. That’s my motivation. To connect with people, to get you to laugh and participate.
After what happened to me, it’s become hard at times to people, but performing helps me mentally stay positive.
My show name is De Gekkevlek ( the crazy spot) I have a Facebook and Instagram account under the same name.
I charge $100. 00 Per show and at most events do 2 shows per day.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

I am disabled now after being assaulted. But even though I was assaulted and have gone through some serious changes physically, I still try to entertain and make people laugh. Performing helps with the mental recovery.

I am performing at the Escondido Renaissance Faire in Felicita Park the last weekend of April and the first weekend in May.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Local spots would be Julian. Love the scenery and the trees. Coastal, would be Carlsbad because of its friendly atmosphere.
