We had the good fortune of connecting with Heather Fritsch and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Heather, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
What was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I spent the majority of my career working in hospitals. As much as I loved it, working in a hospital setting was an extremely draining job. I was working 12 hour shifts, which usually turned into 14 hour shifts with little to no break in a very fast pace, overstimulating environment. A decade of that started to take its toll on me, not only physically, but mentally as well. Additionally I had 2 young children, so I decided to retire from hospital nursing to be a stay at home mom. A choice I will never regret as it was one of the best times of my life but as they got older and more independent, I began yearning to go back to work.
I then spent much time contemplating what it was that I wanted to do. I knew I did not want to go back to work in the hospital, but I also knew that I really would like to learn more about things that I was truly interested in or curious about, and was hoping that somehow I could curate a practice to offer a variety of holistic modalities to assist with one’s health and wellness. During this time of contemplation, I enrolled in a mentorship program and training for such things such as energy work and yoga. Also, I was able to delve even deeper into my research regarding holistic and lifestyle medicine.
A perfect opportunity presented itself to me when a friend of mine, who had been providing IV therapy and vitamin injections, contacted me asking if I would be interested in providing these same services with Arrive Health and Wellness. Having received vitamin injections over the years, I knew the benefits first hand. And I felt this was something that I would genuinely enjoy. So I said “hell yes”!
In addition to having the ability to offer IV’s, injections, and “light” medical aesthetic services with Arrive Health and Wellness, I am also excited to be able to independently offer other holistic modalities such as Reiki and Kundalini Yoga. As my knowledge base grows my intentions are to incorporate other practices such as herbalism, female embodiment, and sexual health coaching for women and couples. The sky is really the limit, and it is EXCITING!

How does your business help the community or the world?
Between starting a daily meditation practice and having experienced pivotal events in my life, I had what some might call an “awakening”. This changed my entire reality. I was able to let go of anger and pain from lingering childhood trauma, and felt a newfound connection with my life!
Whether I am providing IV’s or doing Reiki, I feel it is my calling to help facilitate healing. I truly feel a connection to my community, nature, and the divine. When we take care of our mind, body, and soul and live our life from our heart center, we become a source of positive energy that is contagious. We all have experienced other people’s energy, both positive and negative. For instance, when you walk into a room and someone is in a terrible mood, you feel that viscerally. Making positive changes, both large and small in one’s day, creates a ripple effect that travels far.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Although I’m not a native, I’ve lived in Oceanside for over 17 years now. And in that time this town has definitely grown into a hub of great food and drink, with a huge amount of culinary options and eclectic places to spend an evening out! My go-to for a quick dinner out with family or friends has to be The Privateer on Coast Highway. They have something for everyone and a great, family friendly atmosphere to boot. When I’m out with my girlfriends and we’re feeling it, we like to head out to Q&A Oyster Bar. Their oysters are to die for and they have a great vibe! It even rivals anything I’ve tasted in New Orleans, it’s a must-visit.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout is designated to my children and forever partner, Mark Wadlington.
