Meet Joshua Brown | Writer and Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Joshua Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Joshua, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
I have always took calculated risks to make sure I never fall flat on my face, but once I put total faith in God. He showed me how the space between me bracing myself for a fall isn’t security, it’s fear, you will never reach your highest level being afraid of your biggest failures. Long story short is trusting God more and moving forward through the fear.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
In my business, which is writing, I wanted to tell a story of war in the spiritual and the natural realm. Like The Book Of Eli meets Left Behind. what prevails on earth right before the war of Armageddon, mankind’s love for vengeance and war or God and peace. This series is not for the faint at heart, it’s gritty. I honestly have to say getting where I am today with this book was the toughest process I have ever encountered. I overcame this by pushing through no matter what, someone might say “ Ok bruh everyone says that” true, but some don’t go through great detail as I’m about to. Im talking about pushing through when everything in you or around you seems like it’s forcing you to quit. You lost your loved one, you lost your house, lost your car with your dog in it, and somehow with no strength that you can possibly describe you find a way to not only pick yourself up but continue on a journey you can’t even be 100% sure is gonna workout for you. That’s faith. That no matter what you choose to name it, is how you beat challenges. When a person reads my books I want them to take from this, no matter how bad off you think you are you can still be used by God to create something great, that your purpose isn’t always defined by your good deeds but your willingness to move forward in what you are called to do. Never give up.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love where I stay, here in Moreno Valley, but there isn’t a lot to do out here, I hope to change that, but I love eating at a sushi spot called The Big Bowl out here, love there salmon bowl. Me and my wife are actually creating comic events, and cosplay fashion shows, just so people can have a new option to have a good time.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I always recognize God first, Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior, I am far from a perfect dude, but the fact I’m still living after everything life has thrown at me, shows I’m truly and perfectly loved. I have to say My wife Leelah Brown, her support has been tremendous in all this. My community at Nerdz and Hip Hop. My Family, Mom and Pop Brown, my brother and sister, sheesh I’ll be here all day. I’ll put it like this I credit a lot of people in my life for the reason this book series means so much to me.
