We asked some of the city’s leading artists and creatives to tell us about how they decided to pursue an artistic or creative career. We’ve shared some highlights below.

My photography is an outlet for what I see in my head and feel within my heart. Growing up with a passion for design, I decided to go into the Architecture field as I’m currently a designer at an architectural firm in San Diego. Photography is a hobby I picked up along the way. Architecture and Photography are very similar in terms of how we envision the moment and the object. As designers, we design buildings with a purpose and story. I have always loved to work with my hands. I enjoy expressing myself through Art.
