The story of the underdog has always inspired me—the individual who makes it happen. Instead of waiting for someone or something to change, they work daily to make it happen. I have witnessed many times seeing individuals rise to the occasion. They make it happen. It may take time to see the fruits of their labor, yet it does pay off in some way. I was inspired by the mundane reality I faced as a receptionist working a 9-5 job. Although it was comfortable, it lacked fulfillment. My days felt like a cycle of temporary distractions, and I wasn’t truly living the life I wanted. Everything changed when my father passed away—it was a wake-up call. His death made me confront a question I had been avoiding: if I were to die tomorrow, would I be satisfied with how I was living? The answer was no. My father’s passing forced me to realize that no one was coming to save me or change my life for me. I had to take control and create the life I truly desired. Read more>>
