Meet Yamhed Torres | Digital marketer & Content creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Yamhed Torres and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Yamhed, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
I always use the phrase from the book ‘Don Quixote’ by Miguel de Cervantes “it is the part of a wise man to keep himself today for tomorrow, and not venture all his eggs in one basket” “Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you.”—Oprah Winfrey
Create SMART goals, and the path you’ll take to achieve them.
Believe in yourself and don’t worry if you fail, you need to be resilient and brave, just stand up, and continue to fight until you reach the peak/top of the hill.
Everybody has fears, everyone has problems, don’t mind negative comments, and just believe in yourself, if you like what you do, there’ll be people that will like it too, there will be people with the same principles, ideals, activities, passions just like you, as we all are part of segments of the market.
One step at a time.
Mind your finances
Do what you love to do, balance your life, take care of your health, eat well, drink water, exercise, go to therapy, and find your inner-self

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I feel like passion moves everyone, anything that makes your heart beat faster and that strong energy flowing within you is what you must pursue. I am focused on creating and innovating things I dream of. Things I would like to have as costumer, things I like to see as an explorer. For me anything that I happen to create needs to express life in colors, movements, dreams, and experiences.
People get to remember things by experiences, so I look into creating nice memories, or things that remind them about those pleasant moments.
I am proud of who I am, a brave lady who has travelled and lived in different cities with no money and friends, met different people, and learned about different cultures. I know I’m brave because even though I have many fears, I have managed to continue fighting persistently for my dreams.
12 years ago, a group of old people told me I would not be able to do massive events because I was too young and because that kind of job was meant for men. There was another old person that told me that the number of tickets I was planning to sell was too high for me, that my goal should be 1000 instead of 6000. I proved myself they were wrong since I even turned out to be capable of going beyond my goal. Just follow your passions, follow your gut, and do what you like.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband Cesar Valenzuela, in really hard times where I had lost myself in a deep black hole and hard moments, reminds me of who I am. My life as many others has been hard and for years, I was all the time positive, motivated, and brave, but suddenly, my confidence hit rock bottom, but thanks to the love of people that care about me and my husband I am back on track. Cesar Valenzuela and my family, remind me who I am, and what I am capable of doing. Now I recognize myself again and I’m grateful to have them in my life.
