Meet Yaki Sade | Photographer, Artist, & Model

We had the good fortune of connecting with Yaki Sade and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Yaki, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
I want my legacy to be that I was One of the Greatest, I’m not even there yet but I know I will be. I believe in manifestation and I also believe the tongue is a powerful thing, the universe is always listening so if you put it out into the universe along with putting action behind those words? You’re gonna get to where you want to be in life and will have everything your heart desires. I want people to remember that I was great at everything I did, and that I was one of the real ones. In life you’re gonna run into two kinds of people the real and the fake, but you gotta decide who YOU want to be and I choose to be real. When you’re real, you’re respected and trusted more nobody wants to associate themselves with a person who can’t keep it 100 with them at all times. At the end of the day realness is everything and that’s just one of the few things I want to be remembered by.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Well I actually have different forms of art such as Photography, Sketching, Poetry, and Modeling. I feel like anything can be a form of art if you perceive it that way you know? What sets me apart from others is the fact that I’m multitalented, don’t get me wrong there are also others that are multitalented but that’s very rare. I’m truly great at everything I do and I’m authentically me and I mean that in the most humblest way. I’m just excited about my overall life journey because I know greatness is awaiting. I got to where I am today due to the fact that I put in the work, that’s something you always have to do in life because success? Isn’t just gonna randomly come to you it’s up to you to make that happen for yourself, it wasn’t easy for me I truly believe nothing in life will ever be easy if you want to be great. I overcame certain challenges by getting my mental right, which is very important because if your mental isn’t where it should be how do you expect to be able to make things happen for yourself. I’ve learned a lot of lessons along the way and one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned was to never depend on anybody, it’s best to be able to depend on yourself because certain people will let you down unexpectedly just overall staying ten toes down for yourself is everything because in the end you’ll never disappoint yourself. I want the world to know that self destruction isn’t the only way, use whatever anger you have to become great and a better version of yourself instead of hurting yourself and your future. I used to sit and feel bad about myself when certain things didn’t turn out the way I wanted them to, but when a door closes another one opens and hard times don’t last forever.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First, I would take them to laguna beach I’m a person that loves beaches it’s just something about the beach that’s so therapeutic to me. There’s a lot of nice scenery in that area as well so I feel like that would be the perfect place to hang out at as well and walk around. A food place I would go to would either be Panini Kabob Grill or Javier’s which is in Irvine they’re both amazing food places and have really good drinks. I feel like the most exciting places to check out are either in Irvine or Los Angeles, there’s a lot of nice scenery in certain areas and there’s also plenty of fun things to check out such as museums.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There’s a few people who has had an big impact on my life that deserve recognition. I want to start with my mother, and my grandparents it’s said that “it takes a village to raise a child” and I couldn’t agree with that saying more than ever. I grew up with an absent father so it was left up to my mom to play both roles in my life, and give me extra love she always told me I could do or be anything I wanted in life and that’s something I will forever carry with me. My grandparents gave me extra love as well, I thank my grandfather for playing that father role and just overall being a father figure in my life it wasn’t his responsibility but he still did it anyway so I will forever be grateful for that. And as forward as my grandmother she’s like an second mother she’s very loving and has always given her last I will forever be grateful for her as well. Another person who deserves recognition is my Aunt Uniqq Jewellz growing up she was a big influence on me from her style, to her modeling, and the fact that she could step into a room and people would stop and stare she’s one of the reasons why I wanted to be a model so I thank her for her inspiration. Last but not least I’ll like to give recognition to my Lover Melanio, he’s my bestest friend and boyfriend all in one I appreciate the fact that he’s always motivating me and making sure I stay on my A game there’s not too many people who want to see you win in life but he’s genuinely someone who does want to see me win and I’m very thankful for that.
