Meet Vinny Thomas | Content Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Vinny Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Vinny, what’s the most difficult decision you’ve ever had to make?
I would say the most difficult decision that I’ve ever had to make was making the transition away from teaching into making content full time. I started creating content whilst working as a High School English teacher and juggled the two for around two years. I then got to a point where I knew I was becoming overwhelmed doing both, as teaching and content creating are very full on jobs and knew that I had to choose which one to pursue. I chose content creation, and whilst it was a difficult decision, I am so glad that I took the risk and made the jump.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I create a range of video content for my social media channels. My content focuses on areas of my life, where I usually create comical skits and story times relating to myself. I am originally from England, but I live in America, so I enjoy doing comparison videos between the two cultures, as well as engaging with Disney and other trending media. Starting content creation was very overwhelming at first, as I was unsure if I would even be able to do it, but one thing I’ve learnt is that the worst thing you can do, is to do nothing at all. Whenever I have a rough patch in my artistic journey I remember why I make content in the first place, and that is to make someone else’s day brighter.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live in Phoenix, Arizona, so I feel like no matter what I would have to schedule in a trip to the Grand Canyon. Additionally, if it’s summer we would need a pool or a lake day, as it is hot. Additionally, the Mexican food in Arizona is amazing so we would have to check out some local spots. The landscape as a whole in Arizona is so unique to explore, so a hike would definitely be needed. The sunsets are also some of the most beautiful that I’ve ever seen.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate this to my followers, who have encouraged me more than they will ever know and have supported me throughout my content creation journey. Whenever I have moments of self doubt I am always blown away by their appreciation of all that I do and am forever grateful to be able to spread joy and connect with people all over the world.
