We had the good fortune of connecting with Valerie Garza and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Valerie, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
The most important principal behind building Sea Breeze has been to ‘be the change’; I’d like to take us back to a time when businesses focused on creating success by providing high quality service. Not on extra fees, hidden costs, and/or cutting corners on quality to save a few nickles.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
It has to be a win/win/win for every one. A win for the Client because they recieve top notch service, without additional sales tactics to deal with (the last thing we are looking for when we go in for a massage); a win for the Sea Breeze Therapists because they are appropriately compensated for their high level of massage expertise, and respected at all times; and a win for Sea Breeze in having a stable dedicated team and loyal clients who spread the word about our excellent service. Because of this philosophy Sea Breeze has achieved a reputation for having the most skilled therapists in San Diego. Every single one of us strives to provide each client with exactly what that person needs to heal and/or maintain wellness. Our commitment to caring for our clients is our only goal. None of us went to school hoping to sell upgrades to nice people who need to relax. Which is why  we decided to include essential oils and CBD area treatment in all our massages at no extra charge.

All this attention to detail has snow-balled, and resulted in a reputation for being the special occasion experts, as well as wellness/self-care experts… And this is a very gratifying role for all of us.

Going the extra mile for our clients, has lead us into some really fun areas, too. Sea Breeze now offers massages on the beach, on boats, poolside — even on roofs and cliffs. With our regular team of about a dozen Therapists, we can accommodate pretty much any size party. The TwitchCom VIP party had literally hundreds of guests coming thru. It was an absolute blast! (And we’re very much looking forward to when we can get back to group events as the world begins to normalize again.)

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love San Diego and I love showing it off to my visiting friends. Little Italy would definitely be on the agenda. A room at The Carte, dinner at Bon Appetite, Herb and Wood or Born and Raised and a stop at the Water Front for a night cap. Or Brigantine or Miguel’s on the Pier for brunch/lunch… Ocean Beach’s eclectic and relaxed Newport Street and beautiful Sunset Cliffs. Blacks Beach or Torrey Pines hiking trail, Sea 180 in Imperial Beach, drinks in North Park, Coronado Island ferry, consignment shops in Hillcrest. The options are endless…

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Sea Breeze would be just another run-of-the-mill mobile massage service if it weren’t for my amazing friends/coworkers who make up our team. Their extraordinary talent and extensive experience in holistic healthcare is only surpassed by their kindness, intelligence, and desire to help others. I feel so lucky to have so many good people in my life.
