We had the good fortune of connecting with Unidentified Fem Object and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Unidentified Fem Object, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important thing for me to continue to be successful is to never second guess myself. I can be my worst enemy/critic and have to remember to never hold myself back.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
There are a lot of drag artists and the range of the art form is vast. I believe I stand out in the scene by having a very unique, interesting, and detailed vision of what I present to the world. I’ve always been an artist, interested in modeling, photo editing, costumes, and makeup/sfx, so my drag became an accumulation of all those interests and a personification of my art. I never necessarily wanted to be a drag queen; however, once I saw that drag has no limits, I was hooked. It was easy for me to break into the scene in the sense that I was received well immediately, but teaching myself everything from scratch from sewing, to makeup, to editing, etc. has been a LOT of hard work and dedication while also balancing a full time day job. I want the world to see that you can create anything you set your mind to. You can make positive ecological and conservation changes through just sharing information. I love incorporating ocean litter in my designs in an effort to spread the message of the mistreatment of our marine ecosystems and the impact is has on everyone. UFO is all about exploring the unknown. Creating the unknown. Transcending what people think drag is, what people are,

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would absolutely start the itinerary in Balboa park. Gorgeous architecture, museums, and gardens. Catch Stunt at Rich’s in Hillcrest on Sunday to watch some drag performers and vibe out. We would spend multiple days in La Jolla, scuba diving and paddle boarding around the cove. Pick up some trash on La Jolla shores and go tide pooling. Eventually hit up the stunning Blacks Beach and Ho Chi Min trail. Hit up the glider port for the adrenaline. It isn’t a trip to San Diego if you aren’t getting tacos. There’s an amazing Mexican food truck on Texas street that is a must, I recommend the OG fish tacos. Also hit up Parma in Hillcrest and then drinks at Number One on Fifths, El Prez in Pacific Beach for some roof top dining with ocean views, and grab drinks in Ocean beach. One of my favorite areas to explore is Sunset Cliffs. Climbing around the rocks, exploring caves, and cliff jumping makes for a perfect summer day in SD. San Diego really is a gorgeous city, I specifically moved here because the beach so typically, that’s where I’ll be.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are many people I owe great thanks to when it’s come to my success and the unconditional support of my craft; however, I’d never be able to thank my younger sister Minnie and my best friend Andy enough. They’ve always encouraged and helped me when and where they can. They deserve the world, the stars, the universe. Also wanna shout out my friend Cody Puccini. An amazing photographer that I have the privilege to collaborate with and creat magic.
