We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyler B. Free and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tyler, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Life itself is art and is an endless flow of constant creations. Wanting to pursue my creative endeavors has always been something I aspired to do. With art you can make someone smile, laugh, cry, angry, inspire and even capture memorable moments. With my art, which is fashion I like to treat every collection as one single portrait that tells a story to the audience. The runway is the canvas and my collections are my portraits

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
With my brand, I believe what sets Outlaw apart from others is the originality and the boldness of the designs along with story of the brand. People see my designs and see characters they can see themselves becoming, while also creating their own stories.
I embody the spirit of Outlaw which is confidence, faith, risk taking, and the drive to succeed and overcome any obstacle on the journey. Every perceived challenge I’ve faced I’ve overcome it by having confidence in myself and my designs along with the faith that the world will love them as well.
The most important lesson I’ve learned along the way is that there are ups and downs, and turnarounds & to embrace all of them.
We have a saying at Outlaw. “Sometimes it’s dry and barren, Other times it’s cattle and cash, but Every time it’s Growth & Gain”

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to dedicate the shoutout to my family, who I draw a lot of my inspiration from for Outlaw.
