We had the good fortune of connecting with Travis Walters and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Travis, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Ever since high school, I’ve known that producing videos was what i needed to do. It was the one class that truly captured my interest, sparking a passion for the entire process—pre-production, production, and post-production. Back then, I had no idea how to run a business or what it would entail, but I knew one thing: I loved creating.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is rooted in storytelling, capturing emotions and moments that resonate deeply with audiences. What sets me apart is my ability to weave technical precision with creative vision, whether I’m crafting cinematic videos, impactful commercials, or authentic narratives. I’m most proud of the projects where I’ve seen people connect with my work, whether it’s helping a business tell its story or creating content that sparks change and inspiration.

Getting to where I am today was far from easy. I’ve faced countless challenges, from learning the ropes of running a business to refining my craft in a competitive industry. One of the biggest turning points was training under Matt Alonzo in Los Angeles, where I honed my skills on large-scale productions and developed a keen understanding of storytelling and technique. Overcoming these challenges required resilience, a willingness to learn, and staying true to my passion for filmmaking.

Along the way, I’ve learned the value of authenticity, the importance of collaboration, and the power of perseverance. These lessons have shaped both my work and my approach to life.

What I want the world to know about my brand is that it’s built on passion, purpose, and a commitment to telling stories that matter. My journey is a testament to following your dreams, taking risks, and embracing every opportunity to grow.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting, here’s the plan for an awesome week:

Day 1: Kick things off with sushi at Sushi Kuu and chill downtown.
Day 2: Head to Sequoia National Park for hiking and swimming in the rivers.
Day 3: Start the day with coffee at Component Coffee Lab and shoot some photos
Day 4: Go fishing at Lake Kaweah
Day 5: Grill some steak and veggies and hang out at home
Day 6: More coffee at Component (because it’s that good) and unwind with a low-key day.
Day 7: Sushi again at Sushi Kuu—because why not?

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Matt Alonzo was the game-changer for me. His brutal honesty and willingness to take a chance on me—when he absolutely didn’t have to—became a pivotal moment in my career. Training under him in Los Angeles was transformative, skyrocketing my skills as I worked alongside him on large-scale music video productions. His openness in answering every question I had and mentoring me in storytelling and film techniques equipped me with the essential tools I needed to succeed in the industry.
