We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany Haug and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tiffany, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
I’ve found that balance is dynamic, and looks different at different points throughout life. I don’t think there is a one-size fits all. In my current season on life, it looks like putting my all into the work week Monday through Friday, and keeping weekends free to spend with my husband, go on walks with friends, try a new recipe, etc.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am most proud of how the company I am a part of, EveryBODY Behavioral Health, has stepped up during this time. Eating Disorder rates have been skyrocketing since the start of the pandemic. Supporting our clients in the midst of unprecedented levels of wide-spread isolation, not to mention the fear mongering in social media around gaining weight during the pandemic has required treatment providers to be creative and adaptable, and a willingness to expand hours to take on clients in need of care. EveryBODY Behavioral Health has done that, and I’m so proud of the excellent care that patients receive under our care.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My Itinerary for the perfect day in San Diego mostly revolves around food: 9:30 am: Cappuccino and breakfast from Birdrock Coffee Roasters 11:00 am: Hike at Torrey Pines 1:00 pm: Lunch at Flower Child (Order: Steak with sides of Red Chili Glazed Sweet Potatoes and Indian Spiced Cauliflower) 4:00 pm: Dessert at Azucar (Cuban bakery) on Newport in OB (The Turron De Havana and the Champagne Chocolate Cheese Cake are two of the best desserts I have ever eaten in my life) 5:00 pm: Watch the sun set at Sunset Cliffs 6:00 pm: Ki Sushi in UTC (Order: Sashimi Dinner or Poke) 9:00pm: Chill at home (because, you know, it’s a pandemic)
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband continues to be the most amazing human on the planet, and this pandemic has been 100% more survivable with him by my side.
