Meet Tracy Guzman | Acne Specialist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tracy Guzman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tracy, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I’ve always enjoyed to make people (specially women) to feel good and confident about themselves. I also wanted to have my own business so I could create my own hours and to eventually give me time and financial freedom. So those two combined were great to start with my skincare business, I would be helping people improve their appearance therefore their confident will improve and I would be having my own business.

What should our readers know about your business?
I have a skincare business and I specialize in acne. I’m a believer that education will take you places and that’s what sets me apart from others, I take my education very seriously, I’m constantly updating my knowledge, taking courses and finding ways to know more, that way I can serve my clients with the best and give them real results. I’m very proud of changing people’s lives by treating their acne and getting their skin clear, some people struggle with acne for years and for them to see their skin clear is a boost of confidence that makes proud and happy every time. To start my business wasn’t easy, I was working as a dental assistant before, I worked at my business only in the evenings and on weekends and little by little with a lot of effort and a lot of faith I gained more and more clients and was able to quit my dental assistant job and be on my business full time, that was the best decision, my business only grew from there, when you focus all your attention in one thing that’s going to pay off and your business will grow. There’s always challenges but to succeed to have to KEPP ON GOING!, that’s the only secret, you fell, you get up, you learn and you try again. I want people (specially women) to know that dreams do come true if you persevere enough, if you have faith, if you believe in yourself. I’m an immigrant woman from Costa Rica, came to California 7 years ago with very little English, I went to school, I educated myself and now I’m a successful woman business owner, so you definitely can do anything you set your mind to and of course, don’t forget to have faith.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would go for a great breakfast to Breakfast Republic, then a Duffy ride at Newport Beach, lunch at Playa Mesa mexican restaurant, a relaxing and amazing facial at Traes Skin. A visit to Catalina Island. Dinner at Descanso.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
To believe in yourself and that everything that you dream can become true only because of you is totally possible, but if on top of that you have someone who believes in you more than you believe in yourself then there’s no doubt that success will get to you. To my is my husband, he motivates me to be better, to keep pushing, to bring my ideas to life, he’s been a great support even when my business was only in my dreams. I recommend to surround yourself with people who want to see you grow.
