Meet Susan Wos | Salon Business Broker

We had the good fortune of connecting with Susan Wos and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Susan, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
As a veteran Cosmetologist, creating and getting results was in my blood! Transitioning my passion for connecting people and serving them by finding the right opportunities for those in need was a different kind of creative approach.
While doing hair provides a certain satisfaction to my creative needs, selling salons and writing up descriptions satisfies others!
What should our readers know about your business?
Salonspa Connection started out as offering job and booth rental connections for the salon industry. After multiple requests to assist in the marketing and be a transactional broker for salons for sale, I ventured into that world in 2019.
When our marketing efforts proved to be successful, I knew I was on to something! We grew organically and added new salon industry seller services over time.
I am most proud of becoming the ONLY company that specializes in selling salons! Business brokerage was never on my radar when I started Salonspa Connection but we met the need for this service and outran not only brokers but large, online business selling platforms within 2 years!
Not bad for a hairstylist and former salon owner who had zero tech and marketing skills in 2017!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
To start your day, I would visit Daniel’s coffee for a refreshing latte and a bite of breakfast. Since I love animals I would say spending a day or two at the San Diego zoo! Finish your day off at Camp Cucina and get a sweet treat at Extraordinary Desserts!
Drive up the coast and visit local eateries and spend a few days in Mission Beach. Since I love to mix activity with relaxation, that would be my best suggestion to how to get the best San Diego experience.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout would be to anyone who has helped me along my difficult journey to become a salon business broker. That is a very long list so I will shoutout to Neal Isaacs, the successful broker who took me under his wing to assist me in my salon selling journey!
Neal’s guidance and expert advice has been essential to my business brokerage growth!
