Meet Stéphanie Rabinowitz | Founder and Dog’s Best Friend

We had the good fortune of connecting with Stéphanie Rabinowitz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stéphanie, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
Originally, I am from South Africa and I have been an AVID dog lover ever since I can remember. I am the girl who would watch a movie and become wholeheartedly invested if there were animals featured. My main concern throughout the film as the story progressed was… that the animals survived and did not get hurt!

Having been raised in a family with entrepreneurial parents, I have been privy to insights regarding on how businesses are suitably managed. I feel comfortable thinking out of the box and am open to trying new things. After spending my youth watching the art of my parents creating, developing and executing successful ideas, it all seemed natural and enjoyable to me. We innovatively brought the European lingerie, like racerback bras along with other “new styles” into the American market starting in 1976. From there we continued to grow and developed our brands, (later creating “Le Mystere”), until we ended up on a segment of Extra where celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey, herself, endorsed us for four years in a row.

Realizing that the lingerie industry was not the direction I wanted to continue towards because it was something I had been born into and held no personal interest for, I thought it would be smart to use my skills and invest them into something I actually had a passion for, for my whole life! My passion for…Dogs! Cats! Pets! Animals! I decided to start simple by focusing on one thing at a time. ‘Let’s start with Dogs’ I thought. One of my dreams is to help these wonderful, genuine creatures, by being their voice! My goals consist of helping decrease the abandoned and abused population. Creating awareness on the importance of safety, to as many humans as possible by familiarizing them with its concepts, in the hopes that they will also continue to share and help these authentic beings. I also aim to increase overall recognition through optimism, that there are plenty of people out there that do indeed care. I would be delighted to give shoutouts to rescue organizations that work so hard to help all these abandoned and unfortunate pets and give them a second chance! Bless them all!

It just makes sense and gives me great pleasure to implement my passion to help these beautiful, innocent animals!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Le Pet Luxe’s original concept was dreamed of in 2013. However, things would take a big turn! From being a triathlete of 8 years in a row to plunging into what I would have never expected; trauma invaded my life’s path, basically “paralyzing” me for the next four years. Le Pet Luxe sat around, on the back burner for years. My main goal then was not to end up in a wheelchair!

In 2019, fighting a fight, I attempted to see what I could accomplish with my new way of life, living with chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy (CIDP).

As a one-woman show, I proceeded to do what I could, when I could from scratch… and I mean all-of-it! From A to Z!!

Where did this bring me and what are we about? An exclusive range of luxury dog products online. Helping you keep your pets healthy and happy. We are a small, woman-owned business where you will benefit from quality products and having your personal concierge.

I appreciate the new world I live in every day and want to do what I can to help the animals that suffer, as well as spoiling all the pets that should be spoiled with lots of love – that they should unconditionally, automatically should be getting.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Since I am very new to Arizona and have not gone out much due to Covid, I would explore sushi or Mexican restaurants in the area, Take a short drive to see the desert and, enjoy some beautiful sceneries. Also, at this point in my life, I would be happy to sit around the pool with my dogs, tortoise, and rabbit and catch up on life and laughter.

This is what people who get a second chance in life will do. Enjoy the moment!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are some significant Mentors available who offer guidance for beginners starting out through to professionals. I am thankful to have come across some really helpful coaches that offered invaluable instruction.

To this day, I continue to acquire knowledge from some of the top guiding instructors, such as Rachel Miller of Moolah, Sue B Zimmerman, Billy Gene amongst others, who have been assets in my growth.
