We had the good fortune of connecting with Stacy D’Aguiar and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stacy, why did you pursue a creative career?
That was my plan since I was born. I feel that I was born to create art, and that’s my path in this life.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My Brand: Creating Dreamscapes in Connection with Unseen Frequencies of the Universe. Surrealism is my passion and what collectors are drawn to the most. My paintings are Magical, and something you get lost in. So far, in my art career journey, I’ve made a lot of my living with abstracts through art reps, designers and galleries, but that started to change into selling more of my surreal work without the middle man involved. I’ve learned that there’s no set path, and everyone’s journey is different. It’s not easy making your way, but I feel like there are opportunities around every corner if you’re present to it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Definitely Sunset Cliffs, La Jolla, the Gaslamp, and the restaurants are abundant.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Liz Jardine, for helping me leap off the cliff!
