Meet Soleiman Bolour | Mens Transformational Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Soleiman Bolour and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Soleiman, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
This is how I was raised. My father passed away when I was 9 years old. My uncles took over our finances and they were very successful business men. They always talked about business and how to make sure you move toward things that you can grow into and make your successful. I always new that owning my own business was the way to go, so I can make my own time and also make as much money as possible with the exchange of time for money.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
To tell this story fully, I need to start way back, when I was 9 years old. I was born in Germany, my parents were both immigrants from Iran. They had moved there before the Iranian Revolution. When I was 9 years old my father passes away and within 6 months we move to Los Angeles, CA USA to be with my uncles, my fathers family. They took over my uncles finances and supported us along the journey. There were many ups and downs but in the end they taught me many lessons about business, family, and much more. They were fully wanting me to go into real estate and when I graduated college they told me it was time I start to manage the properties we owned. So I started down that path working at my uncles office along side my cousin, my uncles son. The first year was interesting. I wasn’t fully interested in analyzing apartment deals, it just wasn’t my thing, I didn’t enjoy it, so the opportunity came along for me to work with my other cousin who was in construction, so I started being a project manager going to the site everyday. I really enjoyed this process of seeing something grow and making sure the contractor were on site, It was a great lesson and learning curve, but once again after 3 years I got a bit bored and wanted something different, not sure what I took off about 6 months. I tried my hands at working at my other uncles office in the fabric business, but that wasn’t working for me either. I was always curious about personal growth so I started to take personal growth workshops, from mens work, to sexuality, to psychology, to NLP. Along the same time I continued to manage our real estate holdings, while still feeling the need to work in real estate some how, even though I kept feeling bored with it. There were many moments where my uncles would have meetings with me and try to set me straight I would listen to them but then after a year or 2, I would find my way back into some form of personal growth. The final straw came that last 4 years were I tried to work with a contractor on flipping homes. Our first several deals, made a little money, but after 10 deals, I lost so much money that I finally had to step away from real estate and focus my time fully on Mens Coaching. Something in line with the work that I had to do the passed 20 years I wanted to give back to other men. It took me along time to fully get to know what I want to do, I am still getting clearer and clearer every day. I know many successful people who don’t figure out what they are meant to do until there 50s and 60s. I trust the process that I am in and look forward to the next 20 years of my life serving those who need my support.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout goes to my mom. Through all the crazy ups and downs in our life she has always been there with a smile on her a face and a warm loving kind heart. No matter what I have thrown at her, she always bounces back and looks in my eyes with love and care. She has been a great support of all the things I do in my life, she has always encouraged me to do things in my life, odd as they may seem to her, she has always let me do it and live my life. Thank you for you support and how we have grown closer and closer these past years.
