We had the good fortune of connecting with Sandra Page and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sandra, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
As long as I am having fun doing what I am doing, I keep on going! Social media, blogging, all of that – is meant to be fun and entertaining. If I have a day where it doesn’t bring me fun, joy, and happiness – I skip it that day, or take a break. Every time I have someone reach out to me that just moved to San Diego and is thankful they found my page to start getting out and exploring their new city with their family- those are the best days, the days that keep me going out!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started really diving into social media and blogging two months before COVID hit! Not such great timing when I was in it, but looking back it actually helped me get more creative with what I was sharing and it also made me realize how many other parents were out in San Diego trying desperately to figure out what to with their kids that they felt safe doing. Any time something new opened I tried to share it, along with any precautions they were taking. What I proud of most is the slow and steady growth I’ve had. It’s not some gimmick that I am practicing, or some secret to social media success – it’s actual San Diego moms and dads finding my page helpful and that is what I am here for!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
All of my best friends have a handful of kiddos – so we’d plan a jam-packed San Diego week of family fun!

Day 1: Start off at the Safari Park and afterwards head to Orfila in Escondido for some wine and snacks, with plenty of space for the kids to be kids!

Day 2: Find a spot along the beach at the Catamaran Hotel, so we get all the fun of the sand and waves but also the convivence of a restaurant, bar, and bathrooms!

Day 3: Play around Belmont Park and make sure to stop and get appetizers at Cannonball and Beach House!

Day 4: We’d make sure to grab some childcare for Day 4, and play around North Park and South Park sans kids. Our pick for dinner would be Turf Supper Club for some grill your own steaks and the best garlic bread I’ve ever had!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
So, s0 many people have helped me find success in the past two years! I truly believe that I never would have started this adventure if it wasn’t for Crystal Carr, of Crystella Photography – because the good, quality photography for social media and blogging was such a roadblock for me. Once her and I started working together, it came so easily and naturally that it was FUN!
