We had the good fortune of connecting with Sam Sosnowski and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sam, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I like this question but I’d rather refer to it as a “willingness to be uncomfortable” instead of “risk-taking”. I think one of the greatest qualities I see in people that I consider successful in life is their willingness to be in uncomfortable situations: whether it be moving away from home, working for free, building relationships/networking – just really putting yourself out there and chasing whatever it is you want out of life. It really comes down to that old Roman quote “luck is when opportunity meets preparation”, simple as that.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I just enjoy making videos and filming anything interesting around me. I dont think anything I’ve done is spectacular or noteable, I’m just working for brands trying to make content that excites and inspires people like myself.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them for a drive down the coast, stop at Terra Mar beach, shoot some photos of a sunset then go get sushi at Sushi Lounge in Encinitas.

Chris Ray, EJ Binns, Martin Fobes, Bobby Sorich, Ty Evans and Justin Smith.
