We had the good fortune of connecting with Rossette Dimalanta and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rossette, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I am a crafty person. I like everything about arts and fashion. My love for balloons started with doing my kids or other family member’s party. I am a stay at home mom of 2 kids. I know i needed to do something that will keep me sane. I always pray to find my purpose besides being a mom. Little did I know his preparing me to this business venture with all the parties we had in the family. I started posting my work in facebook marketplace. I was just trying. I had to hide it with my Facebook friends because I was so shy and afraid to fail.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I think what sets up apart from others is that “we are Balloonsibs, we invest in memories.” I decorate every parties like how would I like mine to be decorated. I always put myself in my customer’s shoe. As a mom, i wanted to help other moms to have the party of their dream for their children without breaking the bank. I wanna help every single person to feel extra special on their special day. Its the experience that we offer because I was once who dreamed about it too! It wasn’t easy at first. I don’t know how would I market myself but I took a risk and invested with balloons. If I didn’t do it. i wouldn’t be here today. With this industry, It’s still not easy but what im more focus is the relationship I build with my clients, its always about the memories. Its the quality that we provide.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’ll definitely bring them to the beach. Im a huge fan of nature. Its always the peace for me. I’d take them on a hike at torrey pines and watch the sunset. Bring them to sunset cliff to watch the waves and listen to its sound. Eat around la Jollw with beautiful views.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My kids inspired me in doing this business. They’re my balloons. They are beautiful and makes me happy!
