We had the good fortune of connecting with Ricky Ray and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ricky, how do you think about risk?
The biggest risk is not taking one. Ask yourself what happens if you don’t take the risk… what will your life look like then? You might end up living a life full of “what ifs.” If taking a risk is scary, wait until you see the price you have to pay when regret brings your bill to the table. Make sure that when you do take a risk that you have given it sufficient thought and research. Blindly taking risk doesn’t make you courageous… it makes you a moron.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Embarrassing enough I’m not the most knowledgeable about the must do’s and must eat places in SD😅 With that being said, most of the trip would be about getting outdoors. So definitely multiple beach days and surfing. Paddle boarding at La Jolla shores when the leopard sharks are in town🦈 Also some deep sea fishing with Single Fin Sports Fishing! If it was a week long trip then we’d go to Joshua Tree and then Julian for some hiking and apple pies!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Being a person of faith my first shoutout and dedication of appreciation goes to God🙌🏽 I’d also like to thank Luka (my dog) for keeping me sane and inspiring me to push through the hardest times. Lastly, I’d like to thank all the workers and vendors at the farmers market. They do an amazing job stimulating our local economy and giving our people quality products!
