We had the good fortune of connecting with Profyt and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Profyt, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?

I pursued this career because writing and music was like breathing to me . Giving me an escape and a way to express myself on days where I just didn’t know what to express .

It’s because of those chills you get when you listen to a song that just hits different and so relatable! That’s what love is .

To be able to give back in hopes that someone can feel the same with my creative work is pure bliss.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

Yes of course ! I’m a professional Artist/songwriter from the midwest that took a flight that changed his life . Moving to California in 2019 with a fresh canvas and a bucketful of paint . Needless to say it has not been easy but staying true to you is essential in painting the best picture ! It’s so many components that go into bringing a collective of tracks together. Even more of a task bringing your idea to life with art. Having said, to be able to have two projects out on all streaming platforms is a blessing. I’m most proud of my recent project HDWGH volume 1. It’s definitely my most creative and freshest concept thus far .

Affirmations and my faith have kept me strong along this music journey . Building a foundation from scratch you have to see it before it’s manifested . You have to trust yourself and your unique craft to keep a balance. Because when you know and trust yourself you’ll never lose sight of your gift. And when you fall , you will always have the core foundation of yourself to lean on. More than anything I want supporters and whoever passes by my craft to see that it’s bigger than music. With this platform it will be used to give back to others and I’m so excited to give supporters more great music!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As far as places go, I haven’t done much exploring. But I love amazing scenery and always appreciate catching the sunset at a nearby beach , pier , or a mountain peak. Socal is filled with beautiful scenery!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a S/O to all my family and friends that have pushed me on this journey
