We had the good fortune of connecting with Narvie Madison and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Narvie, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think taking risks is extremely essential to success in your personal and professional life. Without risk taking, you become complacent. Not a whole lot will change for you personally or professionally. Many people are afraid of what others may think. This is ridiculous and is the reason why so many people never chase thier dreams. I also feel that in order to grow and develop, you have to put yourself in uncomfortable situations.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I create digital content that inspires others to live life to the fullest now and to take care of themselves and thier mental health. Creating is what helps me with my mental health issues, and I want others to feel love and encouragement from it. I am most proud of all of the positive feedback I receive from others that feel inspired and happiness from my content. I feel that I have been so successful in this because brands want to work with me based on my positive and uplifting media. Life is far from easy and challenges are bound to occur when least expected. I use to lean on my mother for guidance and support. Now that she is gone, I have really had to learn how to navigate life without her. It is the most difficult challenge of my entire life, but I take it one day at a time.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
La Jolla Cove is always amazing. The beautiful cliffs and seal watching. Im obsessed with outdoor activities, so a visit to Sunset Cliffs and a walk on Sunset Cliffs Trail. Relaxing on Mission Beach with snacks before dinner and watching the sunset there a few times. Before Corona, would take a day trip over to Tijuana for lunch and drinks. Some of my favorite restaurants to visit in the city- Trust, Grains and Sunshine Vegan Cafe.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mother Floreida “Flo” Madison. She passed away suddenly this year and she meant everything in this world to me. I love you mom. Everything I am, and everything I will be is because of your love.
