We had the good fortune of connecting with phakapan salao and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi phakapan, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?

I started my business from love and passion and I enjoy what I do. I feel like it is never work!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

We are a “local” brand with a retail and wholesale presence located in downtown San Diego. In addition, we also have an on-line store as well. While it has been a challenging business environment in the COVID-19 times, we are optimistic about our future even given the backdrop of enhanced competition. It just forces us to stay at the top of our game, provide high quality products and superior customer service.

I want the world to know that we do everything with love and passion to ensure we maintain our quality, innovative and unique designs. Furthermore, we strive to have a great customer experience; namely, provide great products and customer service, be honest and sincere with our customer’s, and make the customer feel at home. It is the epitome of Thai culture. A majority of our Muay Thai products are hand made in Thailand and the quality is very fine, akin, if you will, to high end fashion items from the US, France, Italy, and Spain, or other brands that you may know of. That’s our goal!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, San Diego is one of the most beautiful places to live, I would recommend the Gaslamp, Banker’s Hill, North Park, Little Italy, La Jolla, and Coronado to name a few. There are quite a lot of things to do here in San Diego. These locales have great restaurants, hiking trails, water sports, the Zoo and so on.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First of all, I would like to thank my family and friends as well as the Muay Thai Community, coaches, gyms, students, promoters, and other organizations that have supported my brands and furthering the sport of Muay Thai.
