Meet Oezonthebeat | Music Producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Oezonthebeat and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi OeZontheBeat, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
Staying Humble and continuing to create Unity for my Community. Never losing sight of who I am and what I’m worth.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’d say making Music from a young kid using anything I could find to record music. It was always a passion from a young age. From singing backup in a Puerto Rican/Mex Band as a late teenager/pre-adult in which created this hunger for more. Knew that I loved to make music and to be free to create with no judgment. So you thought, the Judgement was the next phase. I’ve worked hard and long perfecting my craft, burnt my fair share of CD’s blanks back in my early days. Had a fun few years featuring with other upcoming artists at Local Venues. At some point it’s having that understanding of ‘Artist vs Producer’ was what I always heard in the very back of my mind. I truly love making Music. About a decade ago I just started saturating my Search window with Tutorials on How to do this and How to do That. Let’s not be shy, we know how expensive school is. It’s that revolving wheel that never stops until it’s your time. I knew what I wanted and fought hard to educate myself to provide that great sound that would set me apart from others. It’s always a work in progress, you never stop learning about Music. You have to stay relevant/current with the times.
The Music scene is about Who you Know and then What you Know. I am grateful for the opportunity to spread my music purpose and welcome any collab with creative Artists that are passionate about their craft as I am. I’ve Co-Produced the Hip/Hop Rap Album that won the 2023 San Diego Music Awards. Katie Ladubz Pressure Album. That was an unreal experience and just fueled the fire to continue to create that Out the Box Sound.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We literally have the beauty of both worlds here in San Diego. We have the Mountains during the Wintertime that are truly a Winterland Wonderland and the Beach within an hour drive. Many places to go in just a short time but would have to say definitely show them around Old Town. Casa De Reyes (formulary known as Case de Pico) enjoy a refreshing Mint Mojito along with flavorful Mexican food. Walk through the Historic buildings and grab some Chocolate or sweets from the Old Town Candy Store.
A trip to Cabrillo National Monument and soak in the bird’s eye view of Downtown San Diego. La Jolla Cove to see the Sea Seals. Stop by ‘The Cave Store’ in La Jolla where you descend through the cave that leads out to the Ocean. Sunset Cliffs during Low tide, blunge down the cliffs assisted by Rope and experience a small private-ish beach. If lucky, there is a cave you can walk to and enjoy the view. Experience the drive up the Historic Pacific Coast Highway Coastline from La Jolla up to Carlsbad/Oceanside. You can pick any Local Beach to Camp out for the weekend or for the day. If Sports is your thing, then stop at Petco Park and enjoy some Baseball in Little Italy.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to Thank Charlene A. for showing me my Purpose in Life. I’ve always had the love for Music but was shown a different reason as to why. This has catapulted my Music career here in San Diego to serve this very purpose.
