Meet Nay Richards: Pro model & MUA

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nay Richards and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nay, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
Keep going and never give up! You might feel like you didn’t make any progress but trust me you will see the results.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a freelance Asian curvy model I have to overcome many challenges. My plan is to keep going and never give up! I got turned down from many casting and agencies but that did not discouraged me it’s only making me stronger and keep going! What’s setting me apart was I’m such a fresh and exotic face since I’m so new to the industry in San Diego. When I said I’m new to the industry it’s not because I just started modeling career but it’s because I moved here from Thailand not long ago. My modeling career starting in Thailand when I was only 16 years old. My proudest moment was only 1 year into my career I got published in the national magazine at the age of 17 as regular size model.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take my friend to go clubbing with me in downtown then we’re going to eat in A little Italy. I would have them stay at my house since I live in Pacific Beach! I would show them all around especially see wildlife ( sea lion) at the children pool by La Jolla and take a drive to Coronado and ended up with an amazing Mexican food in Old Town.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First of all I would like to thanks all my friends and family for supporting me throughout my modeling careers. Thanks to all the designers and all the model coaches for believing in me and always giving me opportunities.
