Meet Natasha Bandoquillo | Business Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Natasha Bandoquillo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Natasha, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I knew I wanted to start an affordable marketing agency and help small business owners and that was what drove the mission forward. First thing was coming up with the name and that was pretty difficult. There’s a LOT of marketing agencies out there. I knew I wanted to call it “something” Creative Group.
My sister Nicole came up with PON Creative Group after looking at a playlist and seeing “Pon de Replay” by Rihanna. We all love Rihanna.

What should our readers know about your business?
There’s a lot of marketing agencies out there, but what makes us different is that we consider ourselves part of your company. We advocate for complete transparency, and are very invested in seeing the businesses we work with succeed. We have worked with the same companies for a number of years and our clients consider us an extension of their company.
It was definitely not easy getting clients at first. But word-of-mouth was instrumental in getting us where we are today. We learned a lot of lessons and worked with a wide variety of people all over the world. We by no means consider ourselves experts as digital marketing is always changing. But now we can look at a business and quickly know exactly what they need to do such as spending a certain amount to produce an ROI, and how to differentiate themselves from others in their space.
I want people to know that PON Creative Group is different from the thousands of marketing agencies in that we TRULY care about your business. Yes, a lot of agencies say that, but we’re working with our clients every day adjusting things on the fly, working around the clock to make sure things are running smooth, and checking those numbers every hour on the hour to make sure the businesses we work with are heading in the right direction.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
So Cal has everything and as a born and raised California Girl, these are my favorite places.
FOOD
– Ko Ryu Jung for KBBQ in Torrance. They play KPOP, everyone’s super attentive, and a serve-yourself-salad and food bar with featuring Japchae. I fill a whole plate with it because I just love it.
– Calo Mexican Grill in El Segundo. The tacos are *chef’s kiss*. The margaritas are also incredible.
– La Pergoletta in Silverlake. The pasta is addicting and you can build it yourself.
– King and Queen Cantina in Downtown SD. They have many locations, but this one is my favorite. Vibes on vibes.
ATTRACTIONS
– Disneyland. Sorry not sorry but I love Disneyland.
– La Jolla Cove. My favorite place in the world.
– Drive from PCH starting from Oceanside all the way down to La Jolla – This is my favorite drive. So many cute shops and restaurants and OCEAN to see.
– LACMA – my favorite museum in So Cal. I turn up at the bar before I go into the museum and see what happens.
– Santa Monica Pier – I’ve loved this pier since I was a wee lass, and I always just like to walk along it and see what’s up.
– Hollywood Bowl – This is my favorite place to catch a concert if I’m able to. Iconic and just beautiful all around.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family – they were behind me 100%. When I was scared to take that big leap, they told me they supported me so that meant a lot.
