We had the good fortune of connecting with Natalie Atick and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Natalie, how do you think about risk?
When I think of risk I think of having fear with that risk. For me in my career having fear has always motivated me rather than hold me back. If I didn’t take the risks that I did I wouldn’t be where I am now and have become the person that I am today. Being a risk taker is what will get us to our goals and fulfill our dreams. If our dreams don’t scare us they aren’t big enough! We have to take those risks and not be afraid about the chances of failure. Sometimes those are the biggest lessons we need to learn to get to the next step in reaching our dreams and goals.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a baby photographer and also a content creator for my blog The Robe Life Blog. I got to where I am today because I let the fear of failure motivate me in everyway possible! Any challenges that came my way I would never let them discourage me or stop me from reaching my goals for my businesses. I would always push through them and know that it happened for a reason to teach me a lesson and make me stronger. Any set backs or challenges for me for both of my businesses have been lessons that I am forever grateful for. I want the world to know that I started both of my businesses with a positive mindset. I would affirm myself everyday that I would be successful and everything would be worth it all the sacrifices! And now looking back it most certainly was. Just never give up if it’s something you love!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live in Miami, FL so pretty much my city is always a fun time! A lot of people who live in Miami say the quote “I live where you vacation.” And it is so true!! The weather here is always gorgeous and probably one of the best places to sit and people watch. I would take them to the beach, drink some mojitos, and eat some real amazing Cuban food!!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mom! She deserves a HUGE shoutout in my story! Unfortunately, she passed away in 2018 but after that happened I wanted to make her even more proud of me. I felt as if she now lived in me and I wanted to keep her legacy alive. She was the most caring, loving, and generous person in the whole world. She always motivated me and made sure I knew how proud she was of everything I have accomplished. After she passed I pushed myself even harder and with her guidance I feel as if I am the happiest I have ever been in life. All of this because I decided to live my life the way she lived hers.
