We had the good fortune of connecting with Maxima Vega Vega and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maxima Vega, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process from starting my own business is the ultimate emotional fulfillment and freedom of self and individuality. Full expression of self and what you’d like to showcase to the outside of the world. It’s about leaving your mark for others to find. It’s about showcasing your skills and how you serve the collective world as a functioning whole. A good question you may ask is, “How do you impact society as a whole, how do you allow society to move forward?” I did not always do well in a traditional job in certain aspects. It was easy for me to excel and achieve the next step, a higher position, and or a leadership role in traditional work environments. But I’ve always kind of reached some invisible ceiling, whether that is not being able to fully unleash who I was and my purpose as the person that I am. Whether that is not fully allowed the freedom to implement my ideas, my talents, my skills, my way of thinking due to the lack of trust, the lack of belief, the lack of true collaboration, the fear of losing power within traditional work environments. In my experience, I was always faced with faux leadership. The face of leadership but never true leadership.

So that didn’t always work out because it never allowed me to fully bloom to what I can be and become. To me, I always saw that a sign from the universe, that I am just not meant to work under someone, because in some way they would always try to keep me small instead of properly nurturing me.

Sometimes when you are a big thinker or a bigger picture person, people tend to fear what they don’t understand, what they can’t see, the unknown, as well as what is considered different. Mostly in general people fear change all the time and that is why many things fail because people tend to hold on for dear life on what’s not working without trying what may work. By doing so, people lose out on the right opportunities, the right kind of people, the solution to their problems. People base so much emphasis on the surface level things which leads them to the wrong choices and decisions all the time.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a Spiritual Coach and Artist. I started out as an art business after college. I started out as an art vendor in my hometown community and it wasn’t always easy. There were many times I didn’t make profit, but I’ve learned a lot about discipline, sacrifice, and staying power. What continued to push me forward is sharing my voice to others in meaningful conversations though my art and life lessons. My art is transpired mostly by my life experiences and lessons I’ve learned along the way and giving back as a guide for others in their journey and the message and inspiration they need to hear.

Four years ago, I received my Certification as a Spiritual Life Coach to expand my art business and add another service that I felt called to, that was meaningful to me, and something I do quite naturally. I implemented and worked on this craft behind the scenes, until I was ready and clear about what exactly I want to offer the world. Understanding is what is uniquely about me and my life story that people would need the wisdom from?

After pondering this for some time and understanding my own specialities, As a Spiritual Coach, I offer guidance and support for empaths and highly sensitive people who often find themselves in toxic dynamics with manipulators and energy vampires. I help them break those patterns, reclaim their energy, and step into their full power—rooted in clarity, confidence, peace, and purpose.

What sets me apart from others is that I may not have all the fancy credentials, but what I do have is many real and raw life experiences to be able to fully understand people on the deepest level and the biggest challenges they may face when confronted with these type of toxic dynamics and bringing themselves out of the habit and pattern of people pleasing as an empathic individual.

One of the biggest lesson I’ve learned is the power of trusting your intuition and not allowing the external noise to dilute that inner voice. That is my save by the bell moment.

What I want people to know about me, my brand, and my story is that regardless of your past, the cards you were dealt with, the unfavorable circumstances you have faced, is that there is always the opportunity for a new beginning, a new story, a new you. You are the creator of your world so use your energy and your power wisely.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In San Diego, grab a coffee and take a nice morning stroll by the coast by Del Mar train tracks. A stroll and shopping in either Hillcrest Farmers Market or Little Italy Farmers Market. Go down and sight seeing the La Jolla Coast and grab a bite at Trilogy Sanctuary. Go to the beach and swim in Pacific Beach or paddle board in Mission Bay. End the night and hangout at Sunset Market in Oceanside.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
In all honesty, I’ve done a lot myself. I didn’t always had that support, mentorship, and encouragement for most of my life, I feel like I’ve kind of raised myself for most of my journey. Sure there was some surface level support every now and then. But when it mattered, it was always just me and God really and my greatest impact was my Godfather, Rick Chadwick who was such a blessing to this world and such a pillar to his family and community. Very fortunate to have been impacted by him very much so.
