We had the good fortune of connecting with Lindsey Paczkowski and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lindsey, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I believe our most important factor behind the success of our business, Inside Out Strength and Performance, is our relationships. Our business has been built on developing genuine relationships and maintained with our clients, patients and members of the North County San Diego community. We love helping active moms and runners through our business, even more so we enjoy listening and learning more about each individual and what’s going on in their lives. We genuinely care about our Inside Out community and that has shown with our growth and success over the past four years. Being a husband and wife owned business we get to put our personal relationship on display and also demonstrate our love for seeing others accomplish their goals and live out the active and pain free life they deserve to be living.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Inside Out Strength and Performance is a performance physical therapy business owned by my husband, Dave and myself. We are both doctors of physical therapy. We help North County San Diego’s active moms and runners dealing with pain or injury get back to living a pain-free, strong, and confident life without surgery or medications. Our business was started in 2017 and created out of a need for a fresh approach to physical therapy, as we provide 1 on 1 care for an hour with each client. We experienced some growing pains when I joined our team full time in April 2020 given the timing of what was going on in the rest of the world, it was a challenge to step into a role that was initially going to be primarily for in person patient care-which was put on hold with the unfolding of the global pandemic. Although it was a shock initially, it allowed Dave and I to reevaluate our approach to client experience, treatment, our business model and how to integrate my personal passion for women’s health into our practice which primarily included active adults, runners and endurance athletes. We believe every woman and every mother deserves the best comprehensive care available. We firmly believe every woman who has had a baby should see a pelvic health physical therapist to ensure core and pelvic floor restoration and optimal health. For our future clients, Inside Out Strength and Performance exists to provide a clear plan to get you in the best shape of your life, without getting injured, so that you can be active and confident that you’ll feel your best for years to come.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Oh I love this question for many reasons! As soon as we moved to San Diego I was smitten with the active lifestyle and health culture, the beautiful beaches, sunshine and street tacos! There are so many gems around the San Diego area. First off, we would start the morning with coffee from Steady State Coffee Roasters in Carlsbad and then take a stroll along the Carlsbad beaches, beautiful views and a simple way to start the day. Other mornings we’d spend the majority of the mornings taking a hike either at Torrey Pines, Potato Chip Rock or exploring the beaches like Moonlight Beach, Swami’s and Fletcher’s Cove. For lunch you can’t go wrong with all of the amazing spots with fresh ingredients and health conscious menus. Some of my personal favorite local spots in North County San Diego include Cafe Topes, Naked Cafe, Taco Stand, and Swami’s Cafe. The afternoons we would spend time relaxing at the beach, or riding bikes around the coastal towns to see the area from a new perspective. At least a few of the dinners during your trip must be spent at the beach with the sunset. Grab some food to go from Fish 101 or Nectarine Grove and enjoy a peaceful dining experience on the sand. Cooking out in San Diego is always a must as well, pick up some “Cardiff Crack” from Seaside Market and grill out for a delicious meal, you won’t be disappointed. On travel days whether someone is arriving or flying out we like to swing by Liberty Station and the Liberty Station Market for a unique dining experience and to walk around and stretch the legs out before or after a flight.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to give a shout out to my husband Dave for his ongoing support and hard work creating Inside Out Strength and Performance. He began our business in 2017 all on his own, I officially joined the Inside Out team Spring of 2020. His persistence and boldness in pursuing the vision for Inside Out has encouraged me to hit the ground running in our business as take on a new role professionally and bring in a new aspect to our practice with a women’s health specialty. While managing all of that he also pursued a passion of his own by creating a men’s coaching business, Men Made For More Coaching, and launched the Men Made For More podcast that is filled with great tools and information people can apply to see change in their life. He has supported and encouraged me to create, develop and bring my ideas into the clinic and create a space for active moms to come, restore and rebuild their strength and confidence. I am so grateful for Dave to be my husband, best friend and business partner.
