We had the good fortune of connecting with Lauren Leisk and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lauren, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
2 situations that define you: your patience when you have nothing and your attitude when you have everything.

What should our readers know about your business?
I credit much of my success as a Realtor to working with the diverse population I encountered during my career as an ocean lifeguard with the San Diego Fire Rescue Department. However, the transition from first responder to salesperson was not easy. While I was seasoned in working alongside competitive people, I wasn’t fully prepared for the cutthroat nature of real estate. There is a fine line of professionalism to be had with both colleagues and clients alike, and I quickly caught on that being highly organized to protect both my clients and my own reputation was a pivotal part of this business.

As a fierce negotiator, I endlessly outwork my competition to allow my clients to sit back and enjoy the process of buying and selling without any added stress. I believe a real estate transaction shouldn’t be navigated haphazardly or without a plan. There needs to be plan A, B, C, (heck sometimes even D!) in place to assure the highest level of success, and from there, the details can be personalized to an individual and their own dynamic needs.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Day 1 – Growing up in Point Loma, I have to put a walk along Sunset Cliffs as one of my top stops, followed by a stroll long the Ocean Beach Pier ( longest concrete pier on the west coast!) And then of course, lunch or dinner at PL Seafood.

Day 2 -Harry’s Coffee shop for breakfast would be a must, followed by a drive up to Mt Soledad.

Day 3 – Surfing at Tourmaline! Forgiving wave perfect for beginners. Followed by one of my favorite happy hour spots – Costa Brava in PB

Day 4 – It’s hard to play tourist in San Diego without visiting the seals in La Jolla, followed by a visit to the Birch aquarium and some view checkpoints at Scripps Institute of Oceanography. Don Bravo mexican food would be dinner

Day 5 – Check out National City’s Chicano Park and Coronado Island. Too many good food options down there … that decision would be a game day one!

Day 6 – Take the coaster up to Encinitas to do some shopping and explore their night scene, with a stop at the original Pizza Port in Solona Beach on the way home.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would be nowhere without the encouragement and support of my best friend Kailie White! We’ve been friends since 5th grade and she’s always been my biggest fan as I dove into entrepreneurship.
