We had the good fortune of connecting with Lauren Cook and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lauren, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
I hope the be a part of major fashion campaigns and strategies, specifically in social media with an established company or brand(s). I would love to implement trends and bridge gaps in the industry that have yet to be discovered.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I believe I stand out from others in the sense that I am unapologetically starting out small in the fashion industry. I find it is a challenging industry to build engagement. Still I feel most secure when expressing my personal style and I want to share this experience with others. I have recently taken to Instagram showcasing my style and creative interests, and is a great platform for creators. Additionally I have started a small resale business with items from my own closet, and am excited to see the growth. I am still overcoming challenges such as exposure, but am enjoying the rewards that come in the process.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would likely take someone to downtown Fullerton for local shopping and small desserts. You will discover vintage shops along with beautiful, old town sights. Also nearby is the Anaheim packing district for great food and drinks. At the right time you are likely to catch the local Disneyland fireworks.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am happy to shout out my mom, dad and brother who have always been supportive of me and any of my aspirations. I am extremely thankful for their guidance and encouragement toward my creative interests.
