Meet Laura Antonio | Podcaster & Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Laura Antonio and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Laura, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Since I was young, I always enjoyed speaking through a microphone. I always felt like I could relate and entertain people while holding a microphone. There was always this switch that would turn on once I had a microphone in my hand or in front of me, where even if I didn’t know what to say or I was nervous, I would turn into an entertainer. That is why I pursued podcasting. What a better way to connect, entertain and fulfill that feeling than with podcasting.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My podcast is focused on bringing information to the masses in topics that are relatable to living in between borders. Meaning San Diego -Tijuana. It hasn’t been easy gaining listeners, sometimes life gets in the way and consistent podcast releases are sometimes postponed. As well recording issues, volume, scheduling, etc. All these factor in making it difficult to sometimes have a guest on board. I am constantly trying to make it better by having more engaging topics, an open availability, and putting in time and effort into editing and recording.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would credit my drama teacher in middle school, Mr. Pedraja for sparking the fire in me. He had a way of getting you excited, curious, and engaged into discovering what role, talents, and passions we had. That’s where I discovered I liked the microphone.
