We had the good fortune of connecting with Kristin Morrison and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kristin, what inspires you?
I am inspired by our children. They are the bearers of light and are the ones who have true capacity for changing the world. Pretty much all that I do is inspired by the future generations of all species here on earth: our human babies, the ocean, plant life, the land on which we reside. I am inspired by love, authenticity, and beauty. Music, art, dance, nature, surfing, activism, friends and family all stoke my fire.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I feel proud to be able to use my work not only for a medium of self expression, but for helping to inspire and make change in this lifetime. I have spent the last decade + developing a deep relationship to plants and their color, fibers and their origin. It has been a practice of passion and dedication to develop my craft and slow fashion label. It has taken years! The big secret (I just keep moving forward and not giving up;) I am very excited for the ensueing projects I am developing that explore a new collection! other mediums, performance, poetry and music to continue reconnecting humans to the natural world. One of the greatest lessons I continue to learn is to lean into my intuition and let it guide me to action. To not hesitate for the sake of perfection, and to trust that what is coming to me wants to be expressed. It is a gift! My message would be to experiment, be radical, and inspire us all to re-awaken to our interconnectedness, nature, ourselves each other🙂

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
