Meet KidLedz | Dj/Producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with KidLedz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi KidLedz, how do you think about risk?
Taking risk is a part of the journey. Nothing worth having ever came easy. You have to fail many times before you succeed. I’ve failed so many times and even questioned if I can even get to where I want to be. The worst part would be to always wonder what if, and not be 100 percent content with your life. At the end it’s better to follow your dreams. The hard work and frustrations are all part of what is going to make you better . I would say taking risk has impacted me in a positive way, because you learn from it and you try again but this time with more experience, I wouldn’t be where I am, if I did not push and take chances. Run your own race just remember time waits for no one.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I dj and produce techhouse. Techhouse is a mix of Techno and House music. As a genre it would fall under EDM. Growing up with Central American parents, they always listened to merengue, cumbia, punta and other latin tropical music. So I throw that type of influence in my mixing and it sounds great. I’m most proud that I’ve gotten the chance to travel and share my style. It’s hard to get in the music scene no matter what you play or where you live. I practiced a lot ,worked on myself and still do. It’s always good to support local events and network. Never give up persistence is key. No one will give you a hand unless you show your worth. Always stay positive and be true to your craft.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love art so we would check out some galleries. Check out Venice beach if it’s a weekend maybe even paint. To eat we would hit some Korean bbq, some taco stands and also try Nicaraguan food. After hit a microbrewery, the art district in dtla has some good spots. At night we can hit Sound nightclub or Avalon in Hollywood, also Exchange in DTLA or a warehouse party in LA. There’s also many cool hiking spots to hit or go cycling. That sounds like a great week to me lol.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my success and shoutout my Family, especially my mother. They have been with me since day one and will not let me fall. I thank my mother for always believing in me and always being in my corner no matter what. I love you all.
