Today we’re excited to be connecting with Kenzie Lacy again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.

Kenzie, thanks for joining us again. Just to level set a bit for folks who may have missed our last interview together, can you briefly introduce yourself?
Hi, my name is Kenzie Lacy, I am a licensed nail technician, fashion lover, and avid reader. From a young age, I was always the girl who had her nails painted with different designs and had a huge polish collection. After getting my Bachelor’s degree I decided to go to beauty school to pursue my passion of doing nails. I started Nails by Kenzie A in October 2023 inspired by my childhood love for nails and wanting to express my creativity. I make custom hand painted and reusable press on nails for everyday wear, special occasion, and seasonal inspired art. My brand is all about having fun and expressing yourself using your nails as an extension of your personality and style. Having a fashion background, I love that I am able to help create a set of nails that will make the perfect accessory to any outfit and make someone feel beautiful. A highlight of my journey is being able to work with clients and see how excited they get when customizing their set.

Alright, so our main goal today is to give our audience an update on what you have been up to since our last conversation. We’d love to hear how things are going and what you are most looking forward to or excited about these days.
Since we last connected I took a break to regroup and refocus then started back up this year. I have an updated Etsy shop, started vending at markets, and have been active on social media. Preparing for my first market was a learning experience, I created a certain amount of pre-made sets and also brought the items I would need to help a client to create their ideal set if they did not see one amongst the provided that caught their eye. The day of my first market was exciting I had all my family there to help me set up and support me during the whole day. Recently, I completed a 25 day advent calendar challenge by The Press On Academy for the month of December on Instagram. Participating in the challenge helped me expand my creativity and try new nail art techniques. In the new year I am excited to set, achieve, and exceed some new goals such as expanding my reach to different audiences and improving my engagement.

Alright, so let’s do something a bit more fast-paced and lighthearted. We call this our lightning round and we’ll ask you a few quick questions.
