We had the good fortune of connecting with Keaton English and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Keaton, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought itself was innate. The process behind the thought came later. I always knew I would start my own business one day. As a kid, my grandma would call me her Lil “Howard Hughes”. I used to save my lunch money. My friends and I had numerous lemonade stands. I used to rent my video games to my neighbors for $1 a day. I was competing with a blockbuster at 8 years old.
What should our readers know about your business?
I am a real estate agent with a passion for helping others exceed their goals. Keen emphasis on aligning with investors to maximize their portfolio. Real estate is both an art and a science and I study every. single. day. I am extremely proud of the growth over the last year, and I’m excited to start investing for myself and my family. I am in the fortunate position I am today because of an unwavering self-belief that I would be here. Modeling the habits of the people who did it before me. Seeking out knowledge and mentors arena I was most ambitious towards, continuing to sharpen my craft to serve my clients at a higher level. I’ll say it was simply not easy. I was my biggest obstacle, sometimes you just have to get out of your own way. We deliver excellence.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First, we’re going to Little Italy, to Moes coffee to grab a coffee and vegan crossiant, Then were off to OB (Ocean Beach) to take a stroll down Newport ave, down to the pier for a wave check. If it looks glassy were going to take a few foamies out and hang those toes on the nose! Head over to ” The Village” off of El Cajon Blvd for lunch. High-end sushi and mexican food. Their food is amazing and the atmosphere is inspiring. Balboa Park is a must. Check out the gorgeous architecture, historical muesums, expansive botanical gardens, talented street vendors and so much more. Balboa Park golf course is over 100 years old with ocean views on almost every hole. Just a few minutes to downtown. A rooftop bar is a must, my favorites include, Altitude at the Marriot and The Nolen. El Chignon in the gaslamp district is the place to be on for Taco Tuesday. Seaport Village offers a breezy blissful joggers path with stunning views of the harbor and Coronado Island. Hotel Del in Coronado is a must stop. Bonfire on Fiesta Island Mission Beach Boardwalk Belmont Park Pacific Beach – Shore Club, La Jolla Shores La Jolla Coves Torrey pines trail Black beach Cowles mountain hike Mt Helix, Potato chip mountains Carlsbad lagoon So many things to do, but these are a few of the ones that would be on my list.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Gratitude is the best attitude. Every day I am incredibly thankful to be surrounded by such positive and powerful humans. My friends and family are amazing, they’ve supported me from the start. My clients, they make all of this possible. When they hire me, they trust I can get them to the next chapter. I am immensely grateful I get to help write their story. My mentors Faruq, Al, and Jamel at Acropolis, it has been a wild first year, we certainly hit the ground running and I look forward to many more successful years. My buddy Davies for always providing the laugh and zinger to walk away with. Will thanks for showing me the ropes! Countless others for I’ve met along the way that have empowered me and shared your truth with me, eternally grateful.
