Meet Kat Stone | Social media influencer and mental health advocate

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kat Stone and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kat, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
I think life is a lot about balance. Work, school, social life, etc. we all have some things to balance and it is a matter of making a list of your priorities. For example, I put my mental health above all other responsibilities because without it I can’t take care of other responsibilities, next school, socials life, work and so on.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Currently I do work front desk at a hotel. I do this part time, along with college full time and social media. I grew up with very few followers on Instagram, it wasn’t until I built up confidence in myself that I started to grow. Same with tik tok, I have been on that app since musical.ly, I use to be scared of what people would think, eventually I started posting content that just for fun and enjoyment and people actually really liked it and my tik tok now has over 50k followers and I really believe I had to stop caring so much what others would say or think to get here.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live near Miami and some of my favorite spots are Tacology in Brickell, it’s a great place for lunch, then we could go to the beach or go shopping and end the day with a rooftop restaurant

I would like to give a shout-out to my friend Camilla, she is another influencer and has really given me amazing tips and always been a great friend to me
