Meet Kalpana Das | IT Professional & Model

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kalpana Das and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kalpana, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
Everyone has their own definition of success. According to me, success is doing your work with 100% dedication.
A few things that I would like to add:
You are successful if you are taking care of your parents .
You are successful if you are taking care of the society and giving back to the society at the same time.
You are successful if you are constantly trying to be a better version of yourself.
You are successful if you are accepting new challenges and risks.
You are successful if you are enjoying the present moment.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart:
A-Well nothing comes for free ,professionally today I am a multi published model.I am doing some incredible work with some awesome creative people. It was not at all easy but
if you have trust in God and
If you are surrounded by some inspiring people then no one can hold you from becoming successful.
About my challenges:
Challenges are a part of our life, if there’s no challenges life would be so boring.
I used to live in a beautiful State called Assam, in north east India where I used to work for a Bank
Later after my marriage I moved to the southern part of India, Hyderabad, where I again worked in the Banking sector
Later I moved to Singapore where I used to work for a Tech company
As you can see, I have changed location multiple times and changed my industry — each of them came with different challenges.
Let me give you an example:
When I was in Singapore, I left my Job and I was also having health issues. However, one of my friends encouraged me to start doing exercise — and I started the fitness regime. Since then, I have become significantly more active and fit. I consider this as one of the toughest challenges I have conquered in a long time.
Lessons I have learnt:
I never compare myself with others. God has created everyone differently and everyone has their own strength & weakness.I always try to take the best from everyone
Good and bad both are in our life..Good days will give us happiness and bad days will give us experience to learn.
My brand and story/ what do I like to do for society:
I have had a dream since my childhood that I will open an Orphanage & Old Age home in the same facility, so that children can get the love of their grandparents and vice versa!
I would have an aspiration to open a hospital for under privileged people where poor people never have to worry about medical bills and expenses.
Hopefully one day all my dreams will come true 🙂

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I think I would prefer to visit Lake Tahoe,Yosemite National Park ,Napa County,,Big Sur,Santa Cruz,Half Moon Bay & Sonoma
In bay area some amazing Indian ,Nepali & Thai restaurants are there I would love to hang out there.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I think I am still trying to chase my dream and I don’t consider myself to be successful now but whatever I am today all credit goes to my husband Sumanta Roy.It’s been 9 years since we are married.
Whatever was my decision he always supported me whether I wanted to do my job 24*7 jobs or being a homemaker
My husband supported me to realize my dream to buy a house for both of our parents
I always get inspired by how he holds responsibilities towards underprivileged people. I believe in his philosophy “we should give back to the society when we can”.
