Meet Kaanchan Shrivastava Farkiya | Actor, Beauty Queen & Educator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaanchan Shrivastava Farkiya and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kaanchan, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I was born and raised in India. I have been culturally and music-loving. My dad was a government excise officer, a singer, a mathematician, a painter, an amazing dad, and a great human being. My father used to sing on the radio stations. My mom was a theatre artist. This pattern certainly resides in my personality. My father’s passion for singing and my mother’s experience in theatre have influenced my interests in music and acting. These shared hobbies have been a source of joy and creative expression. Growing up in a household where imagination and artistic expression were encouraged, I was surrounded by the vibrant world of theater, film, and visual arts from a young age.
As an actor, I strive to bring authenticity and depth to every character I portray, drawing from the rich tapestry of experiences and emotions that my upbringing has provided me. I represented India and the USA as International titleholders and I became Miss World-Class Ms. USA 2021, and Ms. Asian North America in 2016. I have received many national and international awards including the top 100 most inspiring and influential people worldwide including Women of The Year 2024. In addition, I also have the honor to be the World-Class Woman of the Year 2022 and editor-in-chief of World-Class Fashion and Model magazine. In addition, I serve the community and have been working with many organizations such as an Honorary International Brand Ambassador OXFORD EDUAERVE, Chief Editor of King’s Book of World Record, and USA director for the education-based organizations. I am blessed to be honored as a RISING STAR from the Star Central Magazine from Australia. Currently, I am IFM Ms. World Ambassador 2024.

All in all, my inspiration for working in the showbiz industry was my parents including my maternal grandfather O. P. Shrivastava an honorable Bollywood film producer and director. Being the granddaughter of the legendary movie director, I couldn’t stop pursuing my dream as an actor. My art reflects the diverse influences that have shaped me, and I am dedicated to creating work that resonates with audiences on a personal and emotional level.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As an actor, I enjoy doing TV series, and music videos and I have worked as a lead role actress in state-level TV serials that used to be telecast in the morning and prime time on television every week. This year my short film is coming up “She Could Be the One. I am also the founder of Lenore Beauty Junction and I love teaching Yoga. With both skills, I enhance the beauty and health of others through my work and this sets me apart from others.

As a fashion model, I walked for some of the globally renowned fashion companies and one of the largest brands, of fashion entertainment productions in New York City. I did model and fashion shows for a designer collection of silk-vintage dresses for the best in unique, custom, handmade pieces. I wore a collection of amazing designer jewelry. The jewelry features a modern silhouette and the outfit designs showcased feminine characteristics. I commemorate every moment from modeling to fashion to beauty, as I can feel how it’s been so precious and royal to be featured in magazines and appear in different places.

Moreover, I am a commercial model and have done many ad commercials for products including 24-carat gold and diamond jewelry, cooking oil, eyeglasses, contact lenses, fabric whitener, beauty products such as face wash, face packs, and other hair care products. I have worked for TV and Print media for clothing brands such as Jeans, Indian ethnic wear, gowns, and accessories. In addition, TV commercials for outlet stores, schools, and educational organizations have been the most interesting work for me. All my appearances and accomplishments, made me think deeper and connect with my core as this dream is beyond beautiful and now this is the reality of my life.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love living in San Diego and its a fantastic destination with plenty to offer in terms of food, drink, attractions, and activities. For a week-long itinerary, I would visit Downtown and Gaslamp Quarter, Balboa Park and Little Italy, Old Town and Point Loma, La Jolla, Coronado Island, Mission Beach and Pacific Beach, North Park and South Park etc. Usually, people enjoy the nightlife in the Gaslamp Quarter, live music venues, the museums, gardens, and the San Diego Zoo.

Beauty of San Diego is versatile such as views of sunset at La Jolla Cove, Cabrillo National Monument in Point Loma – Offers stunning views and historical exhibits. I hope this itinerary offers a mix of relaxation, adventure, and cultural experiences, showcasing some of the best San Diego has to offer.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported me on my journey to success. Credit goes to my parents and everyone in my family including my in-law’s side family. My dad’s legacy lives on through the values he instilled in me and my love for him. Their encouragement, guidance, and belief in me have been invaluable. I am thankful to those people who offered encouragement and supported me. Sometimes you have to sit and think how blessed you are.
In addition, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the organizations, photographers, directors, mentors, drivers, make-up artists, Hairdressers, I worked with, and their team for believing in me. Whether they offered advice, lent a helping hand, or simply believed in my potential, their support has made all the difference. To my mentors, thank you for your wisdom and insights. To my team, thank you for your hard work and dedication. To my family and friends, thank you for always being there for me. I am truly grateful to have such wonderful people in my life. I want to thank all my family members, friends, fans, and followers for motivating me to continue having the highest level of dedication toward my goals and for supporting me for each milestone of life.
