We had the good fortune of connecting with Justin Bruce and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Justin, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand is the combination of consistency and hard work. I make it a priority to show up, deliver, and maintain a high standard in everything I do, which builds trust and reliability with the people I work with. Paired with my relentless work ethic, this approach ensures that my efforts consistently produce meaningful results and inspire others.
It’s this balance of consistency and hard work that has fueled my achievements and shaped my brand into something authentic and resilient—one that truly stands out and connects with people.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’d love to share more about my business and what makes it unique. At its core, my business is about helping people navigate real estate with confidence and ease, while also building meaningful relationships along the way. What sets me apart is my ability to blend creativity with expertise—whether it’s through compelling listing videos, leveraging my role on The American Dream TV to elevate exposure, or providing exceptional service that truly listens to my clients’ needs. I take pride in making the process fun, impactful, and memorable.
Getting to where I am today hasn’t been easy, but it’s been incredibly rewarding. Success has come from staying consistent and working hard, even during the toughest times. Challenges are part of any journey, and I’ve faced my share—whether it was breaking into a competitive market, balancing my various roles, or overcoming self-doubt. What got me through was the support of an amazing network, a willingness to adapt, and an unwavering focus on my goals.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned along the way is that authenticity and relationships are everything. People want to work with someone they can trust, who genuinely cares about their success. Staying true to who I am and focusing on delivering value, rather than just results, has been a game-changer.
What I want the world to know about my brand and story is that it’s built on connection, innovation, and passion. Whether it’s real estate, hosting, or community involvement, I aim to create opportunities that inspire and uplift others. My brand isn’t just about business—it’s about making an impact, building trust, and helping people achieve their dreams.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting, I’d make sure they had an unforgettable week exploring all the best parts of Columbus and the surrounding area. We’d kick things off with a visit to German Village for some coffee and pastries at Fox in the Snow before wandering the cobblestone streets and grabbing lunch at Schmidt’s or Lindey’s—their Tornados of Beef are legendary.
No visit to Columbus is complete without catching a Columbus Crew match at Lower.com Field, so we’d spend an evening cheering on the team, followed by post-game drinks at Stories on High, with its views of the city.
Another day would be all about the Short North Arts District—we’d explore the galleries, shop at local boutiques, and have dinner at The Pearl for amazing seafood and cocktails. For a more laid-back vibe, we’d hit up Pins Mechanical Co. for some duckpin bowling and craft beers.
Midweek, I’d take them out to Hocking Hills for a day of hiking and soaking in the incredible natural beauty. We’d wrap up the day back at my place, maybe hitting the golf simulator in my basement, sipping some bourbon, and just relaxing.
For something uniquely Columbus, we’d spend an afternoon at North Market tasting different foods and then head to COSI for some fun hands-on exhibits—it’s great even for adults! And for a fancy dinner, Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse is always a hit, with impeccable food and atmosphere.
To close out the week, we’d keep it low-key—brunch at Third and Hollywood, a stroll through Franklin Park Conservatory, and then sunset drinks at VASO in Dublin for those killer rooftop vibes.
Columbus has so much to offer, from incredible food and drinks to fun experiences and great people. Whether we’re exploring the city or just hanging out at home, it would be a week full of amazing memories.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to Craig Sewing and ADTV, as well as all the incredible ADTV hosts who have been so generous in sharing their experiences. Craig’s vision and leadership have been instrumental in creating an amazing platform that highlights the power of storytelling in my local community and real estate. The ADTV hosts are an incredible group of professionals who inspire me with their creativity, collaboration, and passion. Their willingness to share knowledge and support one another has truly made a difference in my journey, and I’m grateful to be part of such an exceptional community.
