We had the good fortune of connecting with Jules Pomphrett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jules, why did you pursue a creative career?
I pursued a creative career because I’ve truly never imagined anything else. My love of fashion, traveling and writing have been with me for as long as I can remember and as the world has changed it has morphed into the perfect career. Growing up I would create picture collages, and was obsessed with the fashion industry. I studied Fashion in college and since have worked in Wardrobe Styling, Public Relations, Events, Fashion Merchandising, and Marketing. I think my many experiences have set me apart and created my success. I love trying new things and working with brands and companies to help create their success.

What should our readers know about your business?
I work as a Social Media Manager for brands, influencers, and myself. I didn’t get into this field naturally as I was working for a PR firm for 2 years before switching over to Social Media management. I always enjoyed Social Media and learned all the ins and outs of this ever-changing industry. I think everything I’ve learned throughout my different career paths has made my role as a Social Media Manager easy for me in that it comes so naturally. There are definitely challenges though, like dealing with the changes of it all, algorithms and more but it is always exciting. I would love people to know that it is a hard industry but if it is meant for you it will work out. It’s not for everyone but it is a rewarding career. Trying out different things and seeing what is best for you is so important! If there’s an inclination in you that you want some type of career, go for it, because it just might be everything you ever needed.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Here’s my travel itinerary for my friends visiting: Spend an entire day in Beverly Hills. I recommend splurging and staying at The Beverly Hills Hotel for the most iconic memories. The pool here is amazing and you’ll feel elite dining at the Polo Lounge. Spend your day shopping the beautiful Rodeo drive, and have dinner at the charming and trendy Il Pastaio. Make sure to get the Justin Bieber pasta and a glass of Red.
A trip to LA is always complete by hiking Runyon and taking in the beautiful views.
Next part of the trip will be on the West Side. Get dinner at Elephante, drinks at Santa Monica Proper Hotel, and shop on Abbot Kinney in Venice.
Head to Malibu for the perfect beach day, bring a hoodie and pack a picnic and watch the sunset.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I am lucky enough to be raised by a hardworking woman who brought me up to know the power of believing in yourself and your dreams. I owe all of my success to my mother. The more people I meet in life the more I learn that not everyone has that support system. The love and encouragement that my mother has given me throughout my entire life has led me to being able to accomplish so many of my dreams. My mom actually had the dream of moving to Los Angeles when she was younger and never got to. Her being able to watch me live her dream out makes her so happy and makes me know that every step of the way of my career has led me to the right place.
