We had the good fortune of connecting with Joseph Mwansa and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Joseph, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
So in this industry people are unaware that sacrifice is the key.You have to make sure that each and every day you to learn something new,and by sacrifice it could be time for example you to give it all your time to learn something new which others are not doing.so you have to sacrifice your or invest your time in what you are doing for perfection to out different from others.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
So i started this brand early this year in March the called LOKO MERCH meaning Local merchandise. My brand is so unique because am the first one to patch a chitenge on t-shirt differently from the others. Am so excited and so proud of my brand it has been received in different manner because we have given people what they didn’t expect with quality and top notch.

So business wise i am where i am because of discipline in terms business wise and financial wise, also being consistent in-terms of advertising.
For sure it was not easy at all when i first started because yes you i had brand so promoting it was an issue but i did not give up i pushed still a certain level to be where i am right now,so i started with using influential people in my country to advertise with,so people can believe in because it was difficult for people to in it. And again you have to remember that not everyone is happy that you have started something.

So along the way have learned so many lessons and one of them is believing in yourself and what you are doing because no else will believe in if you yourself your can’t believe i yourself and self confidence.

So Loko merch it’s the t-shirt clothing brand which is so different from this others because we have given the world which has never been done before which is patching a chitenge on t-shirt separately.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First thing is first i would like to give credit to myself for believing in my myself. Then secondly i would like to thank my mentors, who happens to be my Pastors Apostle Chris Zimba and Pastor Sepiso for sharping me in such a way that am ready to conquer the world. I would like also to thank Mr Elijah Muchimba who happens to be my boss at work for being a guide when it comes to entrepreneurship.Lastly i would like to thank my designer Namukonda’s designs for believing in me.
