We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Winans and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jessica, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success so far, and the success of the Ultravioletly Aligned community, has 100% been alignment with love, and service; above all else. To me, acting and moving from a place of love is a way of being. So many of us in business can get caught up in the amount we want to make or the lifestyle we want to lead; that we forget service, and all that requires of us. When I switched my mindset from creating income revenue streams or launching with a dollar-amount as my quantifiable goal; and moved into the mindset of: how can I be of service?; my entire life changed, my clients began to soar, and I attracted more opportunity and financial abundance in the process.

What should our readers know about your business?
Hi! My name is Jessica Winans and I work as a spiritual life coach and CEO of Ultravioletly Aligned, LLC. Ultravioletly Aligned, LLC. Ultravioletly Aligned is a coaching network that provides people the tools and techniques to connect to their inner purpose, find their voice and step into their authentic power through spiritual life coaching, psychosynthesis and alternative healing modalities such as meditation, working with the energy body, astrology and more. What makes Ultravioletly Aligned all which it is, is our diverse community of soul-clients. We are an inclusive community composed of people following all walks of life, lifestyles and goals/visions for their future. We believe strongly that everyone has the right as spiritual beings on this planet to live as the fullest expression of themselves, however that looks for them; and we aim to empower individuals on their unique journey through holding space for their transformations. Getting to where I am today with a regular client base, a community of love and light; my team and creating and cultivating the different offerings we bring at Ultravioletly Aligned wasn’t easy. There were many bumps along the road, for example I totaled my car the day after quitting my job to pursue my business full time. But I truly believe in my heart that there are no accidents and that everything happens for a reason. Whenever I encounter a challenge in my business; whether it be financial, relational, organizational…I always overcome said challenges by grace and with the support of my spiritual practices, mentors, community, team and and internal knowing that serving others through connecting them back to the love and universal consciousness which lies within them in this way is my soul’s purpose and mission, and no challenge no matter how big or small can get in the way of that. The biggest lesson I have learned along the way is to trust in the guidance which flows from my heart space, intuition and connection to the universe, source, God; for decision making and next-steps. I want the world to know that all of the tools they need to create the life they want lies within their heart space, and at Ultravioletly Aligned we just help them bring it out.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I loveee San Diego! If someone came to visit me, I would take them to a yoga class in the morning at Honey Yoga or Pilgrimage of the Heart, or maybe a local outdoor class. Then we would get acai bowls at Roots in Hillcrest, and maybe go explore Balboa Park nearby. I would definitely bring them for a hike at Torrey Pines, my favorite spot in San Diego. Ideally we would catch a small show at Soda Bar or Space Bar or The Observatory to end the night.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
YES! WOW, I could NOT imagine where I would be without my family, friends, mentors, professors and teachers. I guess the first people I want to shoutout are my aunts Grace and Susan. They took me into their home and under their wings when I was broken and didn’t know how I would learn to fly again. I also want to thank my amazing family, especially my dad; for their support and love on my journey. Dad gets a special shoutout because even though he does not have a business of his own, he has gotten the brunt of the “DAD!! IDK WHAT I’M DOING WITH MY LIFE!! HOW DO YOU RUN A BUSINESS? AM I CRAZY?” calls which I’ve had, and always handled them with grace, creativity, and unconditional love. I also want to shoutout all of the angels who have been sent my way so far on my journey; like my yoga teachers Bridget and Olivia, Bernadine Waller who gave me an opportunity back during my undergad at Adelphi University I will never forget, all of the professors, editors and mentors I had during my education and work in journalism; my current mentors at The Psychospiritual Institute, my amazing friends who are so supportive, creative and enduring; OPRAH (Oprah is such an inspiration to me) and other powerful, spiritual women like Abraham Hicks, Amanda Frances among others. Additionally, I must credit humbly my team at Ultravioletly Aligned. Leah, Jasmine and Jess; you three have no idea how much you mean to me. I am incredibly moved at the change we are able to create together, as we continue to empower women to step into their authentic power. When it comes to books, etc.; I would dedicate this shoutout to “The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Luiz, a book I read in one sitting under a tree in Washington, DC. in 99 degree weather, and “Out of your Mind” by Alan Watts which a random boy on Tinder sent me years ago that catapulted my spiritual awakening journey.
