Meet Jefferson Shifter | JRS images/ photography & cinematography

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jefferson Shifter and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jefferson, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
My name is Jefferson Shifter, I am the of owner of JRS Images. My interest in photography started at a young age. I started with a disposable camera, taking pictures of field trips in 1st grade.
My parents gifted me a basic digital camera when I was in middle school. It taught me the basic photography elements. I eventually moved up to a professional camera.
Photography is a creative outlet for me. I love photographing landscapes, close ups of flowers, and friends. I eventually saw my skills develop through my passion.
I started my business in 2021, right after I graduated high school. I have been building up my clientele and growing my business little by little.
I would say my best quality as a business owner is communicating with my clients. I make sure I understand their needs and do my best to meet them.
I do a lot of networking, such as reaching out to future clients and different brands, such as LA Vibes. I also schedule, and come up with a plan to meet my clients needs.
All in all I love my job and will continue to build my business daily.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is photography. What sets me apart is that I have developed my skills since 1st grade when I was given a disposable camera to take pictures of a field trip.
I’m most proud of myself for starting JRS Images. I had an interest in photography since 1st Grade. I’ve continued to develop my skills, and I started my business right after high school. I’ve had support and encouragement along the way from my teachers, my principal from high school and my parents.
To always put things in writing when dealing with clients. Developed my editing skills.
I developed my skills By reading, speaking to other photographers, video blogs And experimenting.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to The Getty, Universal Studios, Venice beach, Santa Monica pier. Union Station, Olvera street and Griffith Observatory. To eat I would take them to Olvera street, Chinatown, Tommy’s, Pinks hot dogs, city walk and pinkberry.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout is to my Parents for encouraging me and supporting me in my dreams.
