We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeannie Moravits Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jeannie, what inspires you?
I have always been one to embrace change and am inspired by it. Even as a little girl, I would move things around in my room simply for a fresh perspective to allow my creative mind space to flourish. My family, friends, and co-workers who saw things in me that I didn’t were my true inspiration and those who drove me to continue to embrace change as I grew up. Several people in my life’s journey have seen things in me that I may not have. Many people believed in me and inspired me to thrive beyond my own dreams at the time.
Today, my biggest inspiration are my clients as they inspire me to be more and do more. The more I learn, the more I can help them be the best version of themselves. As a life-long learner, I’m amazed at what I learn daily and how lessons come my way at the right time to help others. I recently had a client stuck on a major life decision. Holding space for her, as others had for me, and asking questions to allow her feelings to surface and time for her to work through the feelings, she was able to, without any doubt, make the best decision for her to make the change she desired. She states, “it was a life changing process”. Having been inspired by others to embrace change, I help others quickly do the same.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I attribute my strength to my upbringing – my mother always encouraged me to speak my truth and not to let anyone make me feel less than anyone else, “we all put our pants on one leg at a time” was something I frequently heard. I truly believe that we are all equal and all have the same opportunities and choices to develop the dash between our birth and death date. My dash has been full of opportunities as I rarely see things as obstacles or huge challenges. I believe we can all learn something from everything, and that life is cumulative, we cannot devalue any types of experience.
After climbing the corporate ladder from Human Resources Clerk to Vice President, my love for leading and inspiring others made starting my own business the next logical step. “My biggest a-ha moment was when I saw the opportunity to branch out on my own, to leave a steady executive paycheck behind and establish my own firm. It was both exciting and scary, but I put fear in the passenger seat, buckled my seatbelt, and stepped on the gas. It’s been an amazing ride filled with many adventures, construction potholes, amazing views, unlimited speed limits, thousands of passengers, and a wide-open opportunity for the clear blue sky to shine brightly through the sunroof.”
My current clients state, “Jeannie is professionally fun and energetic, one who gets things done and makes whatever it takes happen so they too can shine as the best version of themselves”.
I have experienced many obstacles and challenges. I, unfortunately, have experienced a great deal of loss. From financial hardship to the loss of loved ones, I have been challenged to continue to embrace feelings when they come my way, learn from the experience, stand up tall, dust myself off, and keep on keeping on. The diversity of the obstacles and challenges I have been faced with, has helped create the no-nonsense solid leader I am today. As my Mother always told me, “If it doesn’t kill you, it certainly will make you stronger”. Based on my hard work, determination, strategic thinking, drive, and perseverance, I am a solid example of achieving everything I set my mind to. I wake up each morning, knowing that today is not promised to anyone, and makes the best of what is in front of me. I enjoy helping leaders, at all levels of organizations, understand how they can achieve what they set their mind to.

The company’s brand, representing all things bees, has huge significance for me. I am passionate about saving the bees any way I can. A few things I do is grow bee friendly plants in my garden and educate those I speak with. I want everyone to truly understand the significant role bees play in global survival. The process can simply be shared as 1. Bees pollinate flowers and 2. Flowers feed herbivores, which feed carnivores. The food chain will become nearly nonexistent in the absence of bees. Like the human centric aspect of any business where strong leaders support employees, who support internal processes, that support customers and revenue generation. It’s that simple, one feeds the other and without, the system crashes. Bees = Leaders!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
This is a fantastic and exciting thinking about it!
If I had a week with my best friend, my itinerary in Southern California would start with a stroll along the waterfront after picking her up from the airport. We would grab a bite to eat and have some drink at the open and remodeled Portside Pier where she could start to experience all the beauty of San Diego. Since lunch was late that day, we would hang out on my patio embracing the amazing southern California weather. The next day, day 2, we would head out to Solano Beach for some coffee and breakfast followed by shopping on Cedros. That night we would see a show at The Rady Shell at Jacob’s Park. The following day, day 3, we would plan to get up early and go for a hike to Potato Chip Rock, get a massage followed by dinner that night would be at Poseidon Restaurant in Delmar. Day 4 has been reserved for the famous San Diego Zoo. Since they have great food and drinks available at the Zoo, we will plan to spend the entire day exploring all the Zoo offers. Day 5 would be spending the day at the Carlsbad Outlets shopping, viewing the flower fields, and enjoying even more fine dining in the area. Day 6 would be a hike of Torrey Pines, check out the glider port, and the Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution of Oceanography. We are so fortunate, here is Southern California, to have the best weather and as a result, the best restaurants choices. Day 7, the week if over and it is time for my friend to head back but not before she has the choice to visit any beach town she wants, all within a 20-minute drive, before getting her to the airport.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
If I’m asked to come up with a person, I must select my Mom. Shirley Worobieff. She passed away in February of 2021. Words cannot describe how much she is missed. She was my number one fan, my “go-to”, the best listener, the best coach, the most fun, and the best of the best friend a daughter could ask for. She challenged me, loved me, and supported me like nobody else. Ever since I could remember she would tell me, “You can do anything you set your mind to”. I have done everything I set my mind to because of her support and encouragement.
My husband, Son, and amazing friends also deserve credit for helping to soothe my soul during the challenges of life – THANK YOU!
